Police officials in Georgia refuse to release the identity of a detective who showed up to the home of a couple and lost his temper. The residents were armed and the officer didn’t like it. "Earl Cannady and his wife just arrived home from a shopping trip to the local Walmart when their son told them there were cops at the door.
The couple both have licenses for their guns which they were both wearing but that must have spooked the cops because they demanded to know why the Georgia couple had guns.
He shut the door and walked to get his cell phone to begin recording the video that has since gone viral. The officer accused the couple of being involved with drugs, despite the lack of evidence and the insistence that the family is chemical free.
The officer was denied entry into the home because he didn’t have a warrant to search and that’s when things took a turn for the worse.
“Now if you got a problem with those kids, you take it up with those kids, but I’m going to tell you something right now, you don’t got a f*cking investigation on me,” Cannady can be heard on the video saying.”*

A jewelry store heist was foiled when the owner pulled a shotgun on would-be robbers at Joyeria Marlenes' jewelry store in Fresno, California. The surveillance footage recorded the wanna-be jewelry thieves pretending to show interest in the merchandise. While one suspect asked clerk Noe Guzman about bracelets, the other suspect racked the slide of a handgun behind his partner's back. Guzman said he moved to the side so that his uncle, the store owner who was in the back with his daughter and grandchild, could see that a robbery was in progress. The suspects were surprised when the owner came out from the back with a shotgun.
An armed gunmen was fatally shot in southeast Houston by a convenience store clerk's son. Usman Seth was working at his father's grocery store when a masked robber carrying a tactical firearm came into the store demanding his sister, who was at the cashier counter, give him all their money. Seth’s father handed him their store handgun and quickly shot the suspect, later identified as Sam Abugalboush, in the leg. Surveillance cameras caught the entire shootout on tape. Police arrived within minutes, but Abugalboush died at the scene.

On 7 May 1992, Boris Yeltsin signed a presidential decree establishing the Russian Ministry of Defence and placing all Soviet Armed Forces troops on the territory of the Russian SFSR under Russian control.[5] The Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces is the President of Russia. The Russian Armed Forces were formed in 1992.
Armed forces under the Ministry of Defence are divided into:
the three "branches of Armed Forces" (вида вооружённых сил): the Ground Force, Aerospace Forces, and the Navy
the two "separate troop branches" (Отдельные рода войск): the Strategic Missile Troops and the Airborne Troops
the Rear of the Armed Forces, which has a separate status of its own
There are additionally two further "separate troop branches" maintained by the Ministry of the Interior, the Internal Troops and the Border Service. These are not normally included as branches of the "Armed Forces" but are nonetheless used in armed conflicts.

Armed
Armed (May, 1941–1964) was an American Thoroughbred gelding race horse. He was sired by the great stakes winner Bull Lea, the sire of Citation. His dam was Armful, whose sire was Belmont Stakes winner Chance Shot and whose grandsire was the great Fair Play.
Besides being small for his age and very headstrong, Armed had the habits of biting and kicking hay out of his handler's pitchfork. Since he was also practically untrainable, his trainer, Ben A. Jones, sent him back to Calumet Farm to be gelded and turned out to grow up. He returned to the track late in his two-year-old season and resumed training.
His first start was as a three-year-old the following February, and he won at Hialeah Park by eight lengths. He won again less than a week later but then won only once in five more starts and had to be rested due to an ankle injury.
Armed raced for seven seasons, from 1944 to 1950, finishing with a 41-20-10 record in 81 starts. In 1947 under jockey Douglas Dodson, he defeated U.S. Triple Crown champion Assault in a match race at Belmont Park and set a track record of 2:01-3/5 for one and one-quarter miles while winning the Widener Handicap and carrying 129 pounds. He repeated as American Champion Older Male Horse and was voted 1947 American Horse of the Year honors. In the Horse of the Year poll conducted by Turf and Sport Digest magazine, he received 151 of a possible 173 votes to win the title from Citation, Stymie, Bewitch and Assault. Armed died in 1964 of an intestinal tumor. In 1963, he was inducted into National Museum of Racing and Hall of Fame. In The Blood-Horse ranking of the top 100 U.S. thoroughbred champions of the 20th Century, he was ranked #39.

The Armed Forces of the Russian Federation (Russian: Вооружённые Си́лы Росси́йской Федера́ции, tr. Vooruzhonnije Síly Rossíyskoj Federátsii) are the military service of Russia, established after the dissolution of the Soviet Union. On 7 May 1992, Boris Yeltsin signed a presidential decree establishing the Russian Ministry of Defence and placing all Soviet Armed Forces troops on the territory of the Russian SFSR under Russian control.[5] The commander-in-chief of the armed forces is the president of Russia. Although the Russian armed forces were formed in 1992, the Russian military dates its roots back to the times of the Kievan Rus'. In New Jersey, a federal judge decided against the Democratic National Committee in a complaint it brought against the Republican National Committee, ruling that the RNC’s poll monitoring and ballot security activities did not violate a legal settlement. But in a ruling hailed by voting rights advocates, a federal judge late Friday ordered county elections boards in North Carolina to immediately restore registrations wrongfully purged from voter rolls. All of this comes as this year’s presidential election is the first in half a century to take place without the full protection of the Voting Rights Act. In 2013, the Supreme Court struck down crucial components in Section 5 of the act in a case called Shelby County v. Holder, when it ruled that states with histories of voting-related racial discrimination no longer had to "pre-clear" changes to their voting laws with the federal government. The couple both have licenses for their guns which they were both wearing but that must have spooked the cops because they demanded to know why the Georgia couple had guns.
He shut the door and walked to get his cell phone to begin recording the video that has since gone viral. The officer accused the couple of being involved with drugs, despite the lack of evidence and the insistence that the family is chemical free.
The officer was denied entry into the home because he didn’t have a warrant to search and that’s when things took a turn for the worse.
“Now if you got a problem with those kids, you take it up with those kids, but I’m going to tell you something right now, you don’t got a f*cking investigation on me,” Cannady can be heard on the video saying.”*

A jewelry store heist was foiled when the owner pulled a shotgun on would-be robbers at Joyeria Marlenes' jewelry store in Fresno, California. The surveillance footage recorded the wanna-be jewelry thieves pretending to show interest in the merchandise. While one suspect asked clerk Noe Guzman about bracelets, the other suspect racked the slide of a handgun behind his partner's back. Guzman said he moved to the side so that his uncle, the store owner who was in the back with his daughter and grandchild, could see that a robbery was in progress. The suspects were surprised when the owner came out from the back with a shotgun.
An armed gunmen was fatally shot in southeast Houston by a convenience store clerk's son. Usman Seth was working at his father's grocery store when a masked robber carrying a tactical firearm came into the store demanding his sister, who was at the cashier counter, give him all their money. Seth’s father handed him their store handgun and quickly shot the suspect, later identified as Sam Abugalboush, in the leg. Surveillance cameras caught the entire shootout on tape. Police arrived within minutes, but Abugalboush died at the scene.

the three "branches of Armed Forces" (вида вооружённых сил): the Ground Force, Aerospace Forces, and the Navy
the two "separate troop branches" (Отдельные рода войск): the Strategic Missile Troops and the Airborne Troops
the Rear of the Armed Forces, which has a separate status of its own
There are additionally two further "separate troop branches" maintained by the Ministry of the Interior, the Internal Troops and the Border Service. These are not normally included as branches of the "Armed Forces" but are nonetheless used in armed conflicts.

But in a ruling hailed by voting rights advocates, a federal judge late Friday ordered county elections boards in North Carolina to immediately restore registrations wrongfully purged from voter rolls. All of this comes as this year’s presidential election is the first in half a century to take place without the full protection of the Voting Rights Act. In 2013, the Supreme Court struck down crucial components in Section 5 of the act in a case called Shelby County v. Holder, when it ruled that states with histories of voting-related racial discrimination no longer had to "pre-clear" changes to their voting laws with the federal government. For more, we’re joined by Ari Berman, author of the recent article, "There Are 868 Fewer Places to Vote in 2016 Because the Supreme Court Gutted the Voting Rights Act."

Armed Forces Day Parade 2016 Torrance California
Our nation's men and women of the military forces have defended our country, insured our freedom, and upheld the beliefs and principles that this great nation was built on. On May 21st, 2016, the City of Torrance continued its long-standing tradition in its 57th consecutive year of hosting an Armed Forces Day Celebration and Parade to honor the sacrifices of our nation's military. This year, the City once again honored the men and women of our nation's military with a three-day celebration that began on Friday, May 20th, and continued through Sunday, May 22nd. The Parade highlight was on Saturday, May 21st, and the honored branch was the United States Army. The City of Torrance is proud to help honor and thank the men and women of our nation's Armed Forces!

Europe cannot afford two parallel armies for several reasons.
Firstly, a number of states are not in a hurry to allocate 2 percent of their GDP to NATO’s overall defence budget, which depends mainly on Washington paying 75 per cent of the total. At the same time, the US understands the hidden and long-lasting meaning of political ideas expressed by Juncker – i.e. to minimize Europe's dependence on the White House's military decisions.
Secondly, there are not enough human resources for the new army. They can hardly enlist refugees from the Islamic Middle East and North Africa in these forces.
French President Hollande suggested the creation of a European army within and based on NATO. According to him, the European armed forces must have a certain autonomy. But in the army, which is based on unity of command and unquestioning obedience to the commander or boss there cannot, in principle, be any independent structures. Otherwise, it is not an army, but a bad farm. Any disobedience in the army is punished by the tribunal.
In addition, the North Atlantic Alliance would hardly like a parallel and autonomous army. It has no army at all, actually, but there are commands in the theatre of war: the central, southern and northern commands.
Special formations are created for specific combat missions, to which each member country allocates units from its national armed forces. Some provide tank crews, some allocate missile personnel, some supply motorized infantry, signalers, repairers, rear troops, nurses and so on. It is unclear on what principle an integrated European army should be created.
It would more likely appear that talk about a European army and its joint headquarters is another attempt to set up a new bureaucratic structure for European officials to comfortably exist, producing paperwork and public declarations, just as it is done in the EU and PACE.
However, if the European army is actually created, what will Russia's reaction be?
The Russians will work with it as they do with NATO. The hope can be that the relationship will start with a clean slate and become friendly.

The Armed Forces of the Russian Federation (Russian: Вооружённые Си́лы Росси́йской Федера́ции, tr. Vooruzhonnije Síly Rossíyskoj Federátsii) are the military service of Russia, established after the dissolution of the Soviet Union. On 7 May 1992, Boris Yeltsin signed a presidential decree establishing the Russian Ministry of Defence and placing all Soviet Armed Forces troops on the territory of the Russian SFSR under Russian control. The commander-in-chief of the armed forces is the president of Russia. Although the Russian armed forces were formed in 1992, the Russian military dates its roots back to the times of the Kievan Rus'.
The armed forces are divided into:
the three "branches of Armed Forces" , the Ground Force, Air Force, and the Navy,the three "separate troop branches", the Strategic Missile Troops, the Aerospace Defense Forces and the Airborne Troops,the Rear of the Armed Forces, which has a separate status of its own.There are additionally two further "separate troop branches" maintained by the Ministry of the Interior, the Border Force and the Internal Troops. These are not normally included as branches of the "Armed Forces" but are nonetheless used in armed conflicts.
The number of troops is specified by decree of the President of Russia. On 1 January 2008, a number of 2,019,629 units, including military of 1,134,800 units, was set. In 2010 the International Institute for Strategic Studies (IISS) estimated that the Russian Armed Forces numbered about 1,040,000 active troops and in the region of 2,035,000 reserves, actual personnel in the forces and paid was reported by the Audit Chamber of Russia as 766,000 in October 2013. As of December 2013, the armed forces are at 82 percent of the required manpower.
According to SIPRI, Russia spent nearly $72 billion on arms in 2011. Russia is planning further increases in its military spending, with draft budgets showing a 53% rise in real terms up to 2014. However, SIPRI adds that many analysts are doubtful whether the industry will be able to deliver on such ambitious plans after decades of stagnation following the collapse of the Soviet Union.
Structure :
The Defence Ministry of the Russian Federation serves as the administrative body of the Armed Forces. Since Soviet times, the General Staff has acted as the main commanding and supervising body of the Russian armed forces: U.S. expert William Odom said in 1998, that 'the Soviet General Staff without the MoD is conceivable, but the MoD without the General Staff is not. However, currently the General Staff's role is being reduced to that of the Ministry's department of strategic planning, the Minister himself, currently Sergey Shoygu may now be gaining further executive authority over the troops. Other departments include the personnel directorate as well as the Rear Services, railway troops, Signal Troops and construction troops. The Chief of the General Staff is currently General of the Army Valery Gerasimov.
The Russian military is divided into three services: the Russian Ground Forces, the Russian Navy, and the Russian Air Force. In addition there are three independent arms of service: Strategic Missile Troops, Russian Aerospace Defense Forces, and the Russian Airborne Troops. The Air Defence Troops, the former Soviet Air Defence Forces, have been subordinated into the Air Force since 1998. The Armed Forces as a whole are traditionally referred to as the Army (armiya), except in some cases, the Navy is specifically singled out.
Since late 2010 the Ground Forces as well as the Air Forces and Navy are distributed among four military districts: Western Military District, Southern Military District, Central Military District, and the Eastern Military District which also constitute four Joint Strategic Commands — West, South, Central, and East. Previously from 1992 to 2010, the Ground Forces were divided into six military districts: Moscow, Leningrad, North Caucausian, Privolzhsk-Ural, Siberian and Far Eastern and Russia's four fleets and one flotilla were organizations on par with the Ground Forces' Military Districts. These six MDs were merged into the four new MDs, which now also incorporate the air forces and naval forces.
There is one remaining Russian military base, the 102nd Military Base, in Armenia left of the former Transcaucasus Group of Forces. It likely reports to the Southern Military District.
The Navy consists of four fleets and one flotilla:
Northern Fleet (HQ at Severomorsk) subordinated to Joint Strategic Command West.
Baltic Fleet (HQ at Kaliningrad in the exclave of Kaliningrad Oblast)
