What's more entertaining than watching a panda playing on a slide? Watching 4 pandas playing on a slide! :) (A video from the Chengdu Panda Base).
Chengdu in China has been the hometown of the giant panda -- one of the world's most endangered species - for more than 8 million years, and the Chengdu Panda Base (a not-for-profit organisation) is a world-renowned breeding and research center for the giant panda. Celebrating its 25th anniversary in 2012, the Panda Base now has the largest controlled breeding population in the world -- 108 giant pandas.
Panda Awareness Week highlights the work of the Chengdu Panda Base in fostering the continued growth of the giant panda population, as well as rescuing and rehabilitating pandas so they can return to the wild.
To celebrate Panda Awareness Week, 108 pandas brought panda-monium to the streets of London on the 4th, 5th, and 6th of July.

Giant panda
The giant panda (Ailuropoda melanoleuca, lit. "black and white cat-foot"; simplified Chinese: 大熊猫; traditional Chinese: 大熊貓; pinyin: dà xióng māo, lit. "big bear cat"), also known as panda bear or simply panda, is a bear native to south central China. It is easily recognized by the large, distinctive black patches around its eyes, over the ears, and across its round body. The name "giant panda" is sometimes used to distinguish it from the unrelated red panda. Though it belongs to the order Carnivora, the giant panda's diet is over 99% bamboo. Giant pandas in the wild will occasionally eat other grasses, wild tubers, or even meat in the form of birds, rodents or carrion. In captivity, they may receive honey, eggs, fish, yams, shrub leaves, oranges, or bananas along with specially prepared food.
The giant panda lives in a few mountain ranges in central China, mainly in Sichuan province, but also in neighbouring provinces, namely Shaanxi and Gansu. As a result of farming, deforestation, and other development, the giant panda has been driven out of the lowland areas where it once lived.

Chengdu Research Base of Giant Panda Breeding
Chengdu Research Base of Giant Panda Breeding, or simply Chengdu Panda Base, is a non-profit research and breeding facility for giant pandas and other rare animals. It is located in Chengdu, Sichuan, China.
Chengdu Panda Base was founded in 1987. It started with 6 giant pandas that were rescued from the wild. By 2008, it had 124 panda births, and the captive panda population has grown to 83.
Its stated goal is to "be a world-class research facility, conservation education center, and international educational tourism destination."
Partnerships
Chengdu Panda Base has partnered with many organizations in improving ways to conserve giant pandas. For example, its partnership with Zoo Atlanta helped the zoo secure the loan of 2 giant pandas. To date, these 2 giant pandas, Yang Yang and Lun Lun, have produced five off-spring: Mei Lan in 2006, Xi Lan in 2008, Po born on November 3, 2010 and Mei Lun and Mei Huan in 2013.

Plot: In 1998, Margaret Ray was brutally murdered but it was the conspiracy that surrounded the death that was most shocking. Now for the first time go back in time and see the story unfold as it leads up to the point where the first film began. Our story takes place from 1991-1998 and leads up to the murder of Margaret Ray. We begin with Detective William Stockwell and his partner Detective Laura Brown being called back to their hometown to investigate a mysterious disappearance. Sheriff Bob (Karl Peterson) hopes they will find the missing person as well as to how he became missing. They will go through all sorts of twists and turns. Each road leading them nowhere. The case just gets more bizarre by the minute. Meanwhile Margaret Ray, who has no self control, finds herself sleeping around town. Three of these men she would develop a strong relationship with. One of these men, unknown to her, is full of pure evil and would kill her without a second thought! Mayor Tubby Wilson has a secret of his own. He is involved in a big drug cartel that involves top town officials and a US Senator! The mayor is only a puppet though. A puppet for a mysterious person who only appears in dark shadows never revealing their identity. When this person's identity is finally revealed it will be shocking.

Plot: Pizza Girl follows Delilah (Amy Wray), a pizza delivery driver, on her last day of work. She juggles the usual assortment of oddball customers while trying to tie up loose ends with the people who depend on her. As a tough and aging hipster, Delilah provides a breath of humanity to people who can no longer see themselves in a media-drenched world. One of those people is Bill (Steve Poizat-Newcomb), an unemployed dot-bomber who is afraid to leave his house and spends all his time playing video games. Another is Ferris (Jose Carranza), a washed up baseball player and junkie that can't function without Delilah in moments requiring responsibility. And finally Winnie (Reyanne Collins), who is an anime freak in denial about her relationship with an abusive and psychotic jerk (Mike Hawkins). Of course, Delilah's last day doesn't seem any worse than usual until she gets dumped by her long-term boyfriend (Boe Badley) after a sexually repressed loser (Chris Flanagan) falls in love with her. Writer/Director Brian S.
