A British father has surprised his very lucky son with an epic life-size Star Wars Playhouse.

Inventor, Colin Furze, whose YouTube channel has over 4 million subscribers, partnered with eBay to bring the AT-ACT creation to life - just in time for the release of the latest Star Wars film: Rogue One

The majority of the parts used were sourced from eBay - including giant woks and paella dishes for the AT-ACT's guns.

Genius.

Furze, 33, talked his fans through the build in a short clip of the process, which has now been viewed over one million times.

The final product was dramatically unveiled on December 8 - and it doesn't disappoint.

Towering over his neighbours' houses and standing at five-and-a-half metres tall, it's a Star Wars fan's dream come true. And the inside is just as impressive, featuring Death Star plans, Storm Trooper masks, and even a games console.

According to Furze, the purpose of the build was to "celebrate gifting". And, judging by his son's reaction, it was a resounding success.

#Superdad, indeed.

In a funny twist, when Furze asked his followers what their reaction would be to seeing the towering creation over their hedge one of his neighbours responded.

"Well as it is the other side of our fence we were quite shocked to see it go up," neighbour, Liane Hadden, wrote, "but enjoyed watching it come to life. Our son asks to see it ever morning when he wakes up and before he goes to bed. Just waiting to see our cats sat on the top of it one day haha."

Take a look at Furze's amazing effort - and don't be too surprised if your kids have a last minute addition to their Christmas lists.

All you need is a big back yard, an eBay account and a lot of spare time ...
