"...These remained faithful to the teaching of the apostles, to the brotherhood, to the breaking of bread and to the prayers..." [Acts 2:42]

Online learning with the Lancaster Diocese is firmly based around the life of the early Christians as described in the above quotation from the Acts of the Apostles 2:42 shows, in virtue of its own internal dynamic, that faith demands to be known, celebrated, lived, and translated into prayer.

The Catechism of the Catholic Church uses these same elements of this text to form its four parts.

  • The Profession of Faith (We believe)
  • The Celebration of the Mystery (We celebrate)
  • Life in Christ (We live)
  • Christian Prayer (We pray)
All our on-line learning courses are firmly rooted in the Sacred Scriptures and the Catechism of the Catholic Church. We currently offer two distinct pathways of learning. These are:

I have found it extremely interesting, challenging and inspiring! It has definitely changed the way that I teach RE for the better and although it has been hard work, it was definitely worth it! Thank you for all the support and encouragement throughout. Jennifer 2013
