A Multiplier
We receive funding from Thomson Reuters, corporate foundations, and individual donors. We don’t give grants, instead we reinvest all the funding into free services that inform, connect and ultimately empower people around the world.
A Global Network
We have offices in 14 countries. We speak 35 languages. We work in partnership with journalists, law firms, social enterprises, NGOs and human rights leaders to foster socio-economic progress and spread the rule of law around the world.
Our programmes
We run four programmes. Each of them has global reach and breadth. Our focus areas span from investigative journalism and media development, to anti-trafficking, pro bono legal assistance, climate change, social innovation and much more.-
TrustLaw
TrustLaw connects the best law firms and corporate legal teams around the world with high-impact NGOs and social enterprises in need of free legal assistance. Additionally, TrustLaw produces cross border legal research often used to trigger milestone policy and legislative changes. -
Media Development
We run philanthropic initiatives ranging from the creation of sustainable, independent news platforms to a wide range of journalism training programmes worldwide. Additionally, we fund the Reuters Institute for the Study of Journalism at Oxford University. -
Training
We deliver intensive media and communications training programmes to corporations and government officials. All profit made from these activities is used to sustain all our global philanthropic initiatives. -
Trust Women
Trust Women is a fast-growing movement committed to finding real solutions to empower women worldwide and to fighting slavery worldwide. The yearly Trust Women Conference is a global event mobilizing high-impact action-driven initiatives. -
