from Stalker (Russian: Сталкер) 1979 directed by Andrei Tarkovsky, loosely based on their novel Roadside Picnic. It depicts an expedition led by the Stalker (guide) to bring his two clients to a site known as "the Zone", which has the supposed potential to fulfill a person's innermost desires.
A guide leads two men through an area known as the Zone to find a room that grants wishes. Director: Andrei Tarkovsky (as Andrey Tarkovskiy) Writers: Arkadiy Strugatskiy (novel), Boris Strugatskiy (novel) Stars: Alisa Freyndlikh, Aleksandr Kaydanovskiy, Anatoliy Solonitsyn
Andrey Tarkovskiy edited this rough trailer for western studio executives while in negotiations to have 20th Century Fox distribute Stalker internationally. Corporate foot-dragging and a poor critical reception inside the USSR left the film in limbo for months after its domestic premiere, and the deal was ultimately terminated after the invasion of Afghanistan in December 1979. A print of the lost trailer was found among the possessions of Mosfilm employee Georgiy Shutkin following his death in 2007. It was digitally restored for the film's thirtieth anniversary, but not released because of legal disputes between Mosfilm and the Shutkin family. Tarkovskiy never commented publicly on the similarities between his trailer and one shown for a western science fiction film some weeks later.

My review of Andrei Tarkovsky's haunting meditation on the nature of belief, Stalker.
Heart full of worms,
Eatin' down the feelings
Endless train tracks
Through a ruin of a life.
Lonesome whistle
Callin' from the tunnel
Eatin' down the feelings
With something from the grave.
Into the Zone,
Into the Zone,
Into the Zone we go
Into the zone
Into the Zone
Into the Zone we go
God give me peace
God give me worms
God give me God
Give me sod
