HIDDEN ERROR: Usage of "cause_of_death" is not recognized
Virginia Patterson Hensley (September 8, 1932 – March 5, 1963), known professionally as Patsy Cline, was an American singer. Part of the early 1960s Nashville sound, Cline successfully "crossed over" to pop music and was one of the most influential, successful and acclaimed vocalists of the 20th century. She died at the age of 30 in a multiple-fatality crash in the private plane of her manager, Randy Hughes.
Cline was best known for her rich tone, emotionally expressive and bold contralto voice and her role as a country music industry pioneer. Along with Kitty Wells, she helped pave the way for women as headline performers in the genre. Cline was cited as an inspiration by singers in several styles. Books, movies, documentaries, articles and stage plays document her life and career.
Her hits began in 1957 with Donn Hecht's and Alan Block's "Walkin' After Midnight", Hank Cochran's and Harlan Howard's "I Fall to Pieces", Hank Cochran's "She's Got You", Willie Nelson's "Crazy" and ended in 1963 with Don Gibson's "Sweet Dreams".
Cline may refer to:
Patsy is a given name often used as a diminutive of the feminine given name Patricia or sometimes the masculine name Patrick, or occasionally other names containing the syllable "Pat" or "Pet" (such as Cleopatra, Patience, or Patrice). Among Italian-Americans, it is often used as a pet name for Pasquale.
In older usage, Patsy was also a nickname for Martha or Matilda, following a common nicknaming pattern of changing an M to a P (such as in Margaret → Meg/Meggy → Peg/Peggy; and Molly → Polly) and adding a feminine suffix. President George Washington called his wife, Martha, "Patsy" in private correspondence, while President Thomas Jefferson's eldest daughter Martha was known by the nickname "Patsy," while his daughter Mary was called "Polly."
While usually a feminine diminutive name, from the 18th century Patsy also came to be used as a nickname for men and boys called Patrick.
The popularity of the name has waned with the rise of its, chiefly North American, meaning as "dupe" or "scapegoat". This usage comes from the early 20th Century vaudevillian Billy B. Van, whose character, Patsy Bolivar, was more often than not an innocent victim of unscrupulous or nefarious characters.
A greatest hits album, sometimes called a "best of" album or a catalog album, is a compilation of songs by a particular artist or band. Most often the track list contains previously released recordings with a high degree of notability. However, to increase the appeal, especially to people who already own the original release, it is common to include remixes and/or alternate takes of popular songs; even new material (previously unreleased). At times a greatest hits compilation is the original release for songs that have themselves been released as a single and charted successfully.
Madonna's The Immaculate Collection is the best selling greatest hits compilation by a solo artist; all of the songs on it are presented in different versions than the original hit versions. The Eagles' Their Greatest Hits (1971–1975) is the best selling greatest hits compilation by a group and also one of the ten best selling albums in history. Greatest hits albums are typically produced after an artist has had enough successful songs to fill out an album release. Some artists, such as Mariah Carey, Madonna, Janet Jackson, Britney Spears, Elvis Presley, Michael Jackson, The Beatles, Kenny Rogers, Aerosmith, Kiss, U2, Dolly Parton, Journey, Los Tigres del Norte, Queen, Kylie Minogue and Billy Joel, have released multiple greatest hits albums through their long careers. Some greatest hits albums are released only at the end of the artist or group's career. For example, My Chemical Romance released a greatest hits album after they disbanded. Other artists, like Eminem have released hits albums in the center of their success. He released Curtain Call: The Hits in 2005 and then Shady XV as a compilation album in 2014.
"I Fall to Pieces" is a single released by Patsy Cline in 1961, and was featured on her 1961 studio album, Patsy Cline Showcase. "I Fall to Pieces" was Cline's first #1 hit on the Country charts, and her second hit single to cross over onto the Pop charts. It was the first of a string of songs that were written by Hank Cochran and Harlan Howard (not always collaborating) for Cline.
"I Fall to Pieces" became one of Cline's most-recognizable hit singles. It has also been classified as a country music standard.
Hank Cochran and Harlan Howard met in California, and became songwriting partners. One night, Cochran was mulling over song ideas, when he thought of a title, "I Fall to Pieces." Cochran met up with Howard at his house the next day, where they finished writing the song. The demo version of the song was recorded at Pamper Music in Goodlettsville, Tennessee by Howard's wife, country singer Jan Howard. Harlan Howard pitched the song to Decca producer Owen Bradley, who tried to find the right artist to record it. The song was turned down numerous times, first by Brenda Lee, who found the song "too country" for her pop style. Bradley then asked rising country star Roy Drusky to record it but he turned it down stating that it's not a man's song.

Patsy Cline performing "Three Cigarettes in an Ashtray" on Ozark Jubilee. Lyrics: Two cigarettes in an ashtray, My love and I in a small cafe. Then a stranger came along, And everything went wrong. Now there's three cigarettes in the ashtray. I watched her take him from me, And his love is no longer my own. Now they are gone, and I sit alone, And watch one cigarette burn away. I watched her take him from me, And his love is no longer my own. Now they are gone, and I sit alone, And watch one cigarette burn away.

It stars Jessica Lange, Ed Harris, Ann Wedgeworth, David Clennon, James Staley, Gary Basaraba and John Goodman. The film was nominated for Academy Award for Best Actress (Jessica Lange). I believe this may be Julie's first national TV interview about her mom, it's definetly very early on. It is from Crook and Chase 3-5-1990. Patsyfan1 is not Julie Fudge. I am a fan sharing videos from collection with others.

Perhaps the most important moment in Patsy Cline's career was her appearance on the Arthur Godfrey show. Redmon created an animation using authentic photos, video clips, and the surviving audio from Patsy's appearance on the Godfrey show. The video features an interview with her mother Hilda as well as the performance by Patsy Cline that lead to her success as a country music star. About the exhibit: The Becoming Patsy Cline exhibit tells the story of Virginia "Ginny" Patterson Hensley before she became music icon Patsy Cline, one of the Shenandoah Valley's most globally recognized personalities. Redmon designed A/V hardware systems and presentations that help detail the singer's forays into amateur talent shows, her efforts to become a pop singer, and eventual transformation into a count...

Sont trois jeunes garçons
S'en allant à la guerre,
S'en allant à la guerre,
Tout droit en regrettant,
Tout droit en regrettant
Bien leurs maîtresses.
Le plus jeune des trois
Regrettait bien la sienne,
Regrettait bien la sienne
Et il a bien raison :
C'est la plus jolie fille
De tous les environs.
Le bon soldat s'en va
Trouver son capitaine :
"Bonjour, mon capitaine.
Donnez-moi mon congé
Pour allez voir Céline
Qui ne fait que pleurer..."
Son capitaine répond
Comme un homme de guerre
Ton joli passeport
Va t'en, va voir ta fille
Tu reviendras d'abord.
Puis le galant s'en va
Au château de son père.
"Bonjour mon père, ma mère.
Bonjour mes chers parents,
Sans oublier Céline
Que mon cœur aime tant."
Son père lui répond :
"Mais ta Céline est morte
Mais ta Céline est morte,
Est morte en t'appelant.
Son corps est dans la terre,
Son âme, au Paradis."
Puis le galant s'en va
Pleurer dessus sa tombe :
"Céline, ma Céline,
Parle, parle, parle-moi !
Mon cœur se désespère
De jamais plus te voir..."
Céline lui répond :
"Ma bouche est pleine de terre
Ma bouche est pleine de terre...
La tienne est pleine d'amour !
Je garde l'espérance
De te revoir un jour..."
Le bon soldat s'en va
Trouver son capitaine
"Bonjour, mon capitaine !
Me voici de retour
Puisque Céline est morte,
