Form-fitting garment

A form-fitting garment is an article of clothing that tightly follows the contours of the part of the body being covered. Most form-fitting clothing is worn by females; when worn by men, it is sometimes regarded as being effeminate. A feature of Western societies is the popularity of form-fitting clothing worn by women, compared to equivalent male garments. These include t-shirts, shorts, and jeans. Some cultures and religious communities disapprove of form-fitting clothing, especially outerwear, which they consider to be immodest.

There are numerous types of clothing which typically are or which can be made form-fitting. For example, stockings, leggings, tights, and socks are usually form-fitting. Clothing used in dance and in exercise, such as leotards, unitard, and swimsuits, are usually form-fitting. Undergarments or foundation garments such as corsets, girdles, bodysuits, brassieres, and underpants are form-fitting to give a smooth line to the outer clothing.

Skin-tight garments are usually also form-fitting, but are held to the skin by elastic tension. In contrast, non-form-fitting garments are commonly referred to as "loose".

The Hard Case

The Hard Case is a 1995 short film directed and written by Guy Ritchie and featured Wale Ojo as the gambler. A twenty-minute film, it precedes Ritchie's better known Lock, Stock and Two Smoking Barrels.

Trudie Styler saw The Hard Case and invested money into Lock, Stock and Two Smoking Barrels (her husband Sting would play a role in this feature film).

Fender Precision Bass

The Precision Bass (often shortened to "P-Bass") is a bass guitar manufactured by Fender Musical Instruments Corporation. In its stock configuration the Precision Bass is a solid body, four-stringed instrument equipped with a single split-coil humbucking pickup and a one-piece, 20 fret maple neck with rosewood or maple fingerboard.

Its prototype, designed by Leo Fender in 1950, was brought to market in 1951, the first electric bass to earn widespread attention and use, remaining among the best-selling and most-imitated electric basses with considerable effect on the sound of popular music ever since.

The Standard P-Bass is sanded, painted and assembled in Ensenada, Baja California, Mexico along with the other Standard Series guitars. Fender also produces Precision and Precision/Jazz basses in its Squier line of products.

Background

The double bass is physically cumbersome and difficult to transport. It was also becoming hard to hear in large bands or those that used amplified instruments and it requires skill to play such that it can not be readily picked up by any guitarist.
