Two people have died after their car collided head-on with a road train in WA's great southern region on Monday afternoon.
The crash occurred on South Coast Highway in Jerramungup near the Bremer Bay turn-off around midday.
Police said a vehicle carrying two people was heading east on the highway when it collided with the road train.
"Both the driver and passenger of the vehicle are deceased," a police note said.
"The road train driver is believed to not be seriously injured."
The deaths bring WA's 2016 road toll to 179, the highest figure for this time of year since 2010.
It follows four deaths on WA roads at the weekend.
