A man is assisting police with inquiries into the death of a 40-year-old man on Saturday night.
The 40-year-old died in hospital after being injured in a fight at a Forrestfield home on Saturday evening.
Police were called to the Allamanda Way home at about 8pm after reports of an altercation and serious injuries.
St John Ambulance took the man to Royal Perth Hospital, where he later died. They have not confirmed reports on how he received the injuries.
"Police tried to perform CPR on him before he was rushed to hospital," Nine News reporter Alice Pooley told Radio 6PR from the scene.
"There is a crime scene established here.
"Neighbours have described hearing an argument between a man and a woman but apart from that there are no other details on what exactly this was about.
"Nobody has been arrested."
On Monday police said a 29-year-old man was in custody and assisting them with inquiries
