Just when we thought we'd heard the last about the man who punched a kangaroo to save his dog, an infamous Melbourne graffiti artist has had other ideas.
Taronga Western Plains zookeeper Greig Tonkins rose to unexpected fame when footage of the Dubbo local punching a kangaroo during a hunting trip went viral on December 4.
The video sparked a variety of reactions, with some labelling Mr Tonkins an Aussie hero while others thought he went too far in his quest to protect his dog.
The controversial subject has seemingly inspired artist 'Lush' to depict the punch on a Punt Road wall in Richmond.

Lush is the artist who has also recently painted images of Donald Trump and Hillary Clinton kissing and rapper Kayne West in a straight-jacket.
But it seems the artist was not the only who drew inspiration from the incident, with several memes also doing the rounds online.
An eBay seller is even trying to cash in on the video's popularity, selling 'Who punched my mate?' kangaroo stickers.
Since the raw footage of the punch was bought by ViralHog, the video has been viewed more than 34 million times.
