Canberra apparel company ONTHEGO Sports to dress our Hockeyroos

From green and gold singlets for the players to smart uniforms for the referees, our nation's best hockey players and officials are about to be dressed from head to toe by a true Canberra success story.

ACT-based OnTheGo Sports has just signed a five-year deal with Hockey Australia to be the organisation's new apparel partner. That means Canberra man Mick Spencer and his team will be dressing the Kookaburras, the Hockeyroos, all indoor and masters players, and officials and staff both on and off the field.

"We are extremely excited about this new relationship - it will be more than just a partnership," OnTheGo founder and CEO Mick Spencer said.

"We have an arena to further our research and development in high performance product, work with athletes on providing the gear how they want it, and to offer a true solution for Hockey Australia and associated teams.

"Our mission is to empower the world through teamwear, and this certainly will be a step toward our big future."

OnTheGo Sports was founded by Spencer in his parents' garage in 2012. In four years, the company has grown to lead the way globally in the bespoke manufacture of highly technical apparel and accessories.

Through the OnTheGo website, teams and sporting organisations can order personalised cycling, triathlon, running, basketball, golf and rugby gear (to name a few). OnTheGo is the official apparel partner of BMX World Champion and Canberran Caroline Buchanan, as well as the CBR BRAVE (our local team in the Australian Ice Hockey League). The company also kits out some of Australia's biggest health brands including Anytime Fitness, Fitbit, IronMan, Next Gen The Club Group and more.

The new partnership between OnTheGo and Hockey Australia kicks off in January 2017, with an initial contract for five years.
