About the North Face

I

The cubicle walls seem to be closing in lately. You've got some vacation time saved up, and the siren song of Mother Nature is calling. Is it time to cross another national park off the list? Maybe do a little rock climbing? Perhaps grab the camera for some more great outdoor pics? Regardless of the activity, preparedness is key and The North Face® has the gear to take you from training in the gym or on the trail to planting your flag at the summit.

Scaling 8,000 meter peaks doesn’t happen overnight! Start building a body that can go the distance with some mountain athletics. Get outdoors and work up a sweat in a VaporWick® tee and FlashDry™ running short. A technical ½-zip wards off the chill during those early morning or late evening training sessions and a cozy fleece jacket gets you home in comfort.

Heading into the backcountry? A great baselayer is a must. Weather can be finicky off the beaten path, so make sure to pack a GORE-TEX® technical shell that can deal with the elements and a stylish knit hat to keep the ol' noggin warm. Can't forget a pair of durable ripstop pants and trail shoes made to tackle the rocky terrain. Grab a daypack for short trips or a large duffel to hold a tent, goose down or ThermoBall™ jacket, waterproof gloves, and all the other miscellaneous gear necessary for extended expeditions.

If you’re less about scaling a sheer mountain face and more about blazing down the mountain on a snowboard or two skis, then a versatile Triclimate® jacket and insulated pant with movement-friendly stretch, protective gaiters, and body-mapped venting will better fit your needs. Grab a pair of articulated gloves to keep those digits toasty and a beanie to protect your dome.

Not looking to conquer any peaks or already crossed them off your bucket list? Toss a couple water bottles into a backpack and enjoy a leisurely hike in The North Face Denali Jacket and convertible pant. If the mood strikes, zip off the legs and dip those toes into a cool stream. Head back into town and straight to a backyard barbeque sporting the same look because the fabrics are not only technical, they’re stylish enough to be worn just about anywhere.

The North Face has versatile jackets, pants, shoes, and accessories for both men and women to meet all of your outerwear needs. Now that you know what gear to get, just turn in a time off request and throw a dart at the map to find out your destination! When it’s time to return to work, you’ll have plenty of stories to tell!

These gloves are just what I was looking for! They are the perfect weight for everyday use and I love that the entire finger area allows for you to use your technology, unlike many other older gloves that only allowed a small pad on one finger.

Too big for my head. The way it fit, it didn't fully cover my ears. Returned.

I usually buy S or M (if I want to wear additional layers). I bought M size and the length of the sleeves is super long, to the point that it truly looks ridiculous. Unless you're some sort of ET with extra long arms, I don't think anyone looks good wearing this.
