Srinivas
Srinivas (Sanskrit श्रीनिवास) is a name for males in India. The word Srinivas is combination of two Sanskrit words, Sri (श्री) and nivasa (निवास).
Etymology
Sri means 'radiance' or 'diffusing light'; nivasa means 'place of residence'. Srinivas is a common reference to Venkateswara (Vishnu), who is considered to be the source of light (as a metaphor for life) in Hindu scriptures.
Sri has also the meaning of Lakshmi who is rendered to be embodied within Venkateswara. Hence the alternate meaning "One within whom Lakshmi (=prosperity) lives".
Srinivas is a modernized version of the original Sanskrit/Hindu name Srinivasa. The use of the word Srinivasan instead of Srinivas is common in Tamil Nadu and Kerala. Similarly, the dialectical word, Srinivasulu, is commonly used in Andhra Pradesh and Telangana. The name is also very much prevalent in Orissa, Maharastra and Karnataka, among other parts of India.
The other variants in English spelling include Sreenivas, Shrinivas, Shreenivas, Srinibas, Shrinibas.

Srinivas Avasarala
Srinivas Avasarala is an Indian film director, screenwriter, dialogue writer and actor known for his works in Telugu cinema. Srinivas holds a screenwriting diploma from University of California, Los Angeles and took acting classes for a year at Lee Strasberg Theatre and Film Institute, New York City. He did theatre in New York and then worked as an assistant director for a film called Blind Ambition.
Srinivas holds a Masters in Mechanical Engineering with focus on Finite Element Analysis and worked for Princeton Plasma Physics Laboratory.
He made his acting debut with the film Ashta Chamma- an adaptation of Oscar Wilde's The Importance of Being Earnest. His potrayal of Anand, Algernon in the play, received wide critical acclaim. Since then, he has earned a reputation of being a versatile actor for his roles in Pilla Zamindar Anthakamundu Aatarvaata,Kanche, etc . He made his directorial debut with the Telugu romantic-comedy, Oohalu Gusagusalade, with Naga Shourya and Rashi Khanna in lead roles. This adaptation of Cyranno De Begerac was one of the biggest hits of 2014 in Telugu films. He also essayed the role of Uday Bhaskar in the film which earned him an award for Best Supporting Actor at SIIMA awards 2014. The sound track of this film is also a big hit and has swept the awards in all categories at 2014 Radio Mirchi Music awards.

Srinivas recorded Kumaran, a tune that he composed in the raga Arabhi and that is how the journey towards making this song started.. The group vocals were recorded across the Thamizh world from London to Toronto.. The video has visuals shot at many of the Thamizh centric places in the world.. Sung by Srinivas and Ramesh Vinayakam..This single is releasing world wide at Toronto on August 13th..
