Plays of the Week

From cracking strikes to Four Nations glory, these are the most exciting, silly and downright crazy plays in the sport world this week.

He scored a season-high 19 points against the Celtics on Saturday morning (AEDT), his ninth time scoring double digits this year.

But the highlight came when he took the ball with five seconds left in the third quarter and his team trailing by two points.

Mills raced over halfway, stopped and shot from just inside the centre circle to give the Spurs the lead going into the last quarter.

The 28-year-old is averaging a career-high 23 minutes and 11.1 points per game. The Spurs have won 13 of their 16 games this year.

Mills was hampered by a niggling shoulder problem in the 2015-16 season, but he's back to the sort of form that saw him light up the NBA Finals in 2014-15.

The former Marist College student and AIS graduate iced the game in the final minute with another three-pointer to lift the Spurs to a 109-103 win in Boston.
