One man killed, another injured in two-car collision in Werribee

A man has died and another is injured after two cars collided in Werribee on Saturday night.

It's believed two cars collided near the intersection of Cemetery Road and Railway Avenue about 7.30pm.

The male driver of one vehicle was killed while the male driver of the second vehicle sustained injuries and was transported to hospital. 

Both men were the only occupants of their vehicles.

Victoria Police spokeswoman Natalie Webster said the exact circumstances surrounding the collision were yet to be established and detectives from the Major Collision Investigation Unit will attend the scene.

This brings the total number of death on Victorian roads to 274, that's 32 more than this time last year.
