Fire Weather Warning 
for the Darwin and Adelaide River fire forecast area. 
 
Issued at 4:52 am CST on Saturday 20 August 2016. 
 
Weather Situation 
A drier southeasterly surge arrives over the Top End today as a weak high moves 
across southern Australia. 
 
For the rest of Saturday 20 August: 
 
Severe Fire Danger is forecast for the following fire forecast area: 
Darwin and Adelaide River 
 
Bushfires NT and NT Fire and Rescue Service advise you to: 
- Action your Bushfire Survival Plan now. 
- Monitor the fire and weather situation through your local radio station, 
www.securent.nt.gov.au, and www.bom.gov.au. 
- Call 000 (Triple Zero) in an emergency. 
For information on preparing for bushfires go to www.securent.nt.gov.au. 
 
No further warnings will be issued for this event, but the situation will 
continue to be monitored and further warnings issued if necessary.
