Deoxyribonucleic acid (i/diˈɒksiˌraɪboʊnjʊˌkliːɪk, -ˌkleɪɪk/;DNA) is a molecule that carries most of the genetic instructions used in the development, functioning and reproduction of all known living organisms and many viruses. DNA is a nucleic acid; alongside proteins and carbohydrates, nucleic acids compose the three major macromolecules essential for all known forms of life. Most DNA molecules consist of two biopolymer strands coiled around each other to form a double helix. The two DNA strands are known as polynucleotides since they are composed of simpler units called nucleotides. Each nucleotide is composed of a nitrogen-containing nucleobase—either cytosine (C), guanine (G), adenine (A), or thymine (T)—as well as a monosaccharide sugar called deoxyribose and a phosphate group. The nucleotides are joined to one another in a chain by covalent bonds between the sugar of one nucleotide and the phosphate of the next, resulting in an alternating sugar-phosphate backbone. According to base pairing rules (A with T, and C with G), hydrogen bonds bind the nitrogenous bases of the two separate polynucleotide strands to make double-stranded DNA. The total amount of related DNA base pairs on Earth is estimated at 5.0 x 1037, and weighs 50 billion tonnes. In comparison, the total mass of the biosphere has been estimated to be as much as 4 TtC (trillion tons of carbon).
Failure is the state or condition of not meeting a desirable or intended objective, and may be viewed as the opposite of success. Product failure ranges from failure to sell the product to fracture of the product, in the worst cases leading to personal injury, the province of forensic engineering.
Wired Magazine editor Kevin Kelly likewise explains that a great deal can be learned from things going unexpectedly, and that part of science's success comes from keeping blunders "small, manageable, constant, and trackable". He uses the example of engineers and programmers who push systems to their limits, breaking them to learn about them. Kelly also warns against creating a culture (e.g. school system) that punishes failure harshly, because this inhibits a creative process, and risks teaching people not to communicate important failures with others (e.g. Null results).
The criteria for failure are heavily dependent on context of use, and may be relative to a particular observer or belief system. A situation considered to be a failure by one might be considered a success by another, particularly in cases of direct competition or a zero-sum game. Similarly, the degree of success or failure in a situation may be differently viewed by distinct observers or participants, such that a situation that one considers to be a failure, another might consider to be a success, a qualified success or a neutral situation.
DNA profiling (also called DNA fingerprinting, DNA testing, or DNA typing) is a forensic technique used to identify individuals by characteristics of their DNA. A DNA profile is a small set of DNA variations that is very likely to be different in all unrelated individuals, thereby being as unique to individuals as are fingerprints (hence the alternate name for the technique). DNA profiling should not be confused with full genome sequencing. First developed and used in 1985, DNA profiling is used in, for example, parentage testing and criminal investigation, to identify a person or to place a person at a crime scene, techniques which are now employed globally in forensic science to facilitate police detective work and help clarify paternity and immigration disputes.
Although 99.9% of human DNA sequences are the same in every person, enough of the DNA is different that it is possible to distinguish one individual from another, unless they are monozygotic ("identical") twins. DNA profiling uses repetitive ("repeat") sequences that are highly variable, called variable number tandem repeats (VNTRs), in particular short tandem repeats (STRs). VNTR loci are very similar between closely related humans, but are so variable that unrelated individuals are extremely unlikely to have the same VNTRs.

I ordered a genetics testing kit from 23andMe about two months ago. I got it, submitted my saliva sample and hoped to the genetic testing gods that I would get my results by this time. And of course I just got an email from them the other day letting me know that I failed my DNA sample test kit. They sent me another one and here we are doing this again but this time, let's do this right. I'll be doing a follow up video once I get the results back in two months. *This video is not sponsored or paid for by 23andMe. I damn well paid for my kit out of my own pocket. After attending this presentation, attendees will understand why merely testing DNA is not enough for criminal justice. Even with DNA data, accurate and informative interpretation of that data is needed for accurate identification information. This presentation will impact the forensic and legal communities by providing a case example of how sophisticated interpretation of DNA data was needed to exonerate an innocence man, long after the DNA had been tested. On a freezing December night in 1989, five men savagely gang-raped a motorist after bumping her car on Indiana highway I-65. Darryl Pinkins and two other innocent men were misidentified as her attackers through clothing stolen from their car and left in the victim's car. Pinkins was convicted of rape and criminal deviate conduct in 1...

Hiii!!!! So, in this video I pranked my guy-best-friend with some translated(in greek) lyrics from the song DNA by BTS. Of course, seeing me acting weird, he googled my texts and was led to.the lyrics.of the song, so my attempt was pretty much a failure. But I got him.to promise me that he'd watch the music video, and I'm hoping to lure him into the world of kpop xD Yeeeaah, that's about it. Thank you for watching see you next time!!!

http://www.ibioseminars.org/index.php?option=com_content&view;=article&id;=690&Itemid;=684 Part 1. The most deleterious form of DNA damage is a double-strand break (DSB), which can arise from errors in DNA replication, from the failure of topoisomerases to complete their cycles of DNA cutting and rejoining, from mechanical stress and from the action of endonucleases that cleave DNA. Here we review how DSBs can be repaired either by nonhomologous end-joining mechanisms or by several homologous recombination pathways including single-strand annealing, gene conversion and break-induced replication.

Alone on the back of the bus
Don't know what time it was
Sleepin away my way across town
I got blown off by my friends
So I'll spend the night alone again
Then he came up to me and sat down
People tell him he's crazy
But he's no different than me
Cause his friends said he'd be all right
Now he's all alone on saturday night
He told me something about himself
He said he don't need no one else
And he was just cruisin the busses for fun
I told him about my stupid friends
He said "that's just the way it is
At least you're not the only one"
And he started me thinking
That I don't have it so bad
Cause it sucks to be alone
But at least there's a place where I can go home
He's drinking again
His spirits are falling
Like the rain that hits the bus
And he's lonely again
All his friends stopped calling
When you got nothing you got nothing at all
Cause he's got nothing at all
