At the end of the nineties the Psychedelic Trance scene was in one of its heydays, experiencing a steep increase in its creative and cultural potential. In these surroundings the first Psychedelic Circus opened its gates in 1999. And looking at the development of the open air festival, it seems like it took the highly energetic spirit from those days as a source of inspiration for ever new ideas and steady progress up to today. In fact, behind the scenes there are some of the most popular music producers, label owners and promoters from North Germany involved in the organization of the event who bring in their innovative vibes. With a history reaching back more than a decade, Psychedelic Circus has its place among the classical big open air festivals in North Germany, festivals that enjoy a very special reputation within the international scene. And it does so not only because of its long-year tradition. To get several days of a dance event for thousands of visitors off the ground on an acre in the middle of nowhere, it takes quite some experience. And exactly this experience has been gained during the past years. In consequence, Psychedelic Circus combines a fine sense for the current preferences and wishes of the scene with technical and infrastructural professionalism of the first order. By the way, the organization team is also responsible for Indian Spirit Festival, another classic open air event in North Germany that nowadays became one of the most popular ones of the annual outdoor season. An entirely new overall concept is developed for Psychedelic Circus year after year to please its audience with exclusive decoration and lighting concepts, with varied and spectacular line-ups and, staying true to the circus motto, there are also always some surprises and astonishing innovations to discover.
