The Red Bull Rampage is an invite-only freeride mountain bike competition held near Zion National Park in Virgin, Utah, United States, just to the north of Gooseberry Mesa. Previously it was held off the Kolob Terrace Road, on the western boundary of Zion National Park.
The competition was held from 2001–2004 and then canceled due to the increasing risk competitors were taking. After a three-year hiatus, Rampage returned in 2008. For the 2008 event wooden features have been introduced to what has previously been a "Natural" only course.
The competition usually held in October. The event is similar to freestyle skiing and snowboarding, where competitors are judged on their choice of lines down the course, their technical ability and the complexity of tricks. Red Bull Rampage has become one of the biggest mountain biking events of the year.
At the first ever Rampage in 2001, the prize money for the event was $8,000. In 2015, the total prize fund is a $100,000.
Red Bull is an energy drink sold by Austrian company Red Bull GmbH, created in 1987. In terms of market share, Red Bull is the highest-selling energy drink in the world, with 5.387 billion cans sold in 2013.
Austrian entrepreneur Dietrich Mateschitz was inspired by an existing energy drink named Krating Daeng, which was first invented and sold in Thailand. He took this idea, modified the ingredients to suit the tastes of Westerners, and, in partnership with Chaleo Yoovidhya, founded Red Bull GmbH in 1987 in Chakkapong, Thailand. In Thai, daeng means red, and krating is the large bovine called "gaur". Red Bull is sold in a tall and slim blue-silver can, while Krating Daeng is in a gold shorter can. The two are different products, produced separately.
The Red Bull company slogan is "Red Bull gives you wings", and the product is marketed through advertising, events (Red Bull Cliff Diving World Series, Red Bull Air Race, Red Bull Crashed Ice), sports team ownerships (RB Leipzig, FC Red Bull Salzburg, Red Bull Brasil, New York Red Bulls, Red Bull Racing, Scuderia Toro Rosso), celebrity endorsements, and music, through its record label Red Bull Records.
A bull is an intact (i.e., not castrated) adult male of the species Bos taurus (cattle). More muscular and aggressive than the female of the species, the cow, the bull has long been an important symbol in many cultures, and plays a significant role in both beef and dairy farming, and in a variety of other cultural activities.
The female counterpart to a bull is a cow, while a male of the species which has been castrated is a steer, ox or bullock, although in North America this last term refers to a young bull, and in Australia to a draught animal. Usage of these terms varies considerably with area and dialect. Colloquially, people unfamiliar with cattle may refer to both castrated and intact animals as "bulls".
A wild, young, unmarked bull is known as a micky in Australia. Improper or late castration on a bull results in it becoming a coarse steer, also known as a stag in Australia, Canada and New Zealand. In some countries an incompletely castrated male is known also as a rig or ridgling.

►Watch the Rampage 2016 Replay on Red Bull TV: http://win.gs/WatchRampage "The event organizers called it 'impassable,'" says Tyler McCaul of the daunting visual improbability of the narrow ridgeline he has chosen as his line for Red Bull Rampage 2016. The crux move in the line: A narrow spine leading to a cliff, cropping out over the edge of a steep canyon with consequential drops on both sides. It required a huge landing be made to even think if was to be attempted. With all 300 allotted sandbags in place, the landing zone still wasn't plausible. So all 12 diggers labored to dislodge massive rocks, stacking them atop the bags to create a landing tall enough to match the pitch of the cliff's natural slope. _ Experience the world of Red Bull like you have never seen it before. Launched in 2001 and held annually through 2004, Red Bull Rampage brings the creative, unrestricted ethos of freeride mountain biking to the contest arena while staying true to the sport's core ideals. Poised on a sandstone ridge in the brutal landscape near Virgin, Utah riders are free to chose whatever line they dared between an established start gate and the finish line 1,500 vertical feet below. Exactly what happens between those two points has become legendary. The 2012 contest pushed the riders to their limits, with gaps, flips and tricks that made national news headlines and once again defied the limits of what should be possible on a bike.
