CGP Grey

CGP Grey is a web-based producer of educational entertainment videos on YouTube. Grey has dual American and Irish citizenship. The channel features short explanatory videos on varying subjects, including politics, geography, economics, and British culture. The channel's first popular video was an explanation of the terminology of the British Isles, which went viral. Since then, Grey's videos have received increasing attention, having been covered by several publications, including Business Insider, The Huffington Post, Forbes, and The Washington Post.

The channel has also spawned several spin-offs, including a secondary channel, CGPGrey2, and a channel with playlists of Grey's favorite videos called greysfavs.

In addition to video production, Grey is known for creating the podcast Hello Internet with Brady Haran, creator of many well known educational YouTube channels. In 2015, he started another podcast titled Cortex with Myke Hurley of Relay FM.

Videos

The channel CGP Grey features, among other things, Grey Explains, a series of explanatory videos on a range of subjects, including politics, geography, economics, and British culture. The videos feature Grey narrating over animations and still photographs. While nearly all of Grey's videos feature his voice, his face has never been shown in his videos, and Grey always has his face obscured when appearing in other people's videos; he generally uses a stick figure with glasses to represent himself. His videos also often include hidden links, often leading to Monty Python videos. Grey has stated that the presentation style of his videos is influenced by that of Yahtzee Croshaw's Zero Punctuation series.

Richard Jenkins

Richard Dale Jenkins (born May 3, 1947) is an American actor. Jenkins began his acting career in theatre at the Trinity Repertory Company and later made his film debut in 1974. He has appeared in supporting roles in many films produced during the 1980s and the 1990s. His breakthrough did not come until the early 2000s, in which he played the deceased patriarch Nathaniel Fisher on the HBO funeral drama series Six Feet Under. Jenkins was nominated for the Academy Award for Best Actor for The Visitor and won the Primetime Emmy Award for Outstanding Lead Actor in a Miniseries or Movie for Olive Kitteridge.

Early life

Jenkins was born and raised in DeKalb, Illinois. His mother, Mary Elizabeth (née Wheeler) (1914-2003), was a housewife, and his father, Dale Stevens Jenkins (1916-1997), was a dentist. He attended DeKalb High School. Before he was an actor, Jenkins drove a linen truck (his boss was actor John C. Reilly's father). Jenkins earned a degree in drama from Illinois Wesleyan University before relocating to Rhode Island.

Phil Gardner

Phil Gardner (born 29 July 1973) is a British writer, playwright and journalist. He lives in Brighton, East Sussex, where he writes regularly for The Argus website and The Kemptown Rag, based in the Kemptown district of Brighton

Early life

Phil Gardner was born in Hastings, East Sussex, and grew up in Basildon, Essex. He attended Kingswood Junior School, being appointed Head Boy in his final year, before passing the Eleven Plus and winning a place at Southend High School for Boys. Two years later he transferred to Woodlands School, where he won the Headmaster's Award for English and founded the Woodlands School VIth Form Magazine, on which he acted as head writer.

The Poddington Peas

In 1992 Gardner was invited to write for the BBC's animated children's television show The Poddington Peas. He was involved in the development of two new sets of characters, The Bugz and The Freshwater Friends, which were intended to be introduced to an American audience under the title The Wonderful World of Poddington. The project, which was to be produced in conjunction with HIT Entertainment, was ultimately abandoned and no episodes featuring the new characters were ever made.

Michael Little (born 14 March 1993) is a New Zealand rugby union player who currently plays either as a midfield back or fullback for North Harbour in the ITM Cup. He was named as a member of the Blues wider training group ahead of the 2016 Super Rugby season.

Little was part of Fiji Under 20's and travelled to the 2012 IRB Junior World Championship .
