Fremantle midfielder Harley Bennell's car has been impounded by police after he was caught driving without a licence, adding yet another off-feld distraction to the Dockers' crucial off-season rebuilding.
Police stopped Bennell for a routine traffic check on Tuesday and found his licence had recently been suspended over demerit points.

The Docker's car was immediately impounded but he told the club he was unaware of the lost demerit points because he had moved addresses.
The 24-year-old was traded to Fremantle from the Gold Coast in 2015 but is yet to play a home and away game for the Dockers.
Drafted as the no.2 pick in 2010, Bennell missed all of Fremantle's horror 2016 season because of a recurring calf injury and recently injured his other calf, in a big blow to Ross Lyon's plans to rebound from a disastrous 4-18 year.
Bennell was set to fly to Germany this weekend to receive treatment for the injury and related muscle problems.

His run in with the law is the latest off-field drama to beset the Dockers, with forward Shane Yarran's future under a cloud after he was charged on Tuesday with unlawful wounding following a pub brawl more than a year ago - in the same week he appeared in court over a separate charge involving an alleged domestic dispute.
And key defender Michael Johnson is facing a charge of assault occasioning bodily harm over a bizarre incident at Leederville kebab shop Cosmos in October.
Police said the All-Australian defender assaulted a Bunbury school teacher who filmed the star Docker with his pants down in the popular late-night eatery.
