Wikipedia:Featured topics/Love. Angel. Music. Baby.[edit]

I was wondering what is the status of the above FT since one of the articles was demoted from featured status? —IB [ Poke ] 19:28, 2 April 2016 (UTC)

Okay so since the article was demoted on March 13, the article has three months to reach at least GA status before it will have to be taken for review and possibly demoted. Scratch that this topic was demoted years ago. GamerPro64 19:37, 2 April 2016 (UTC)

I'm Breathless[edit]

I would like to know the delegate and the community's thoughts on what articles would constitute for the album I'm Breathless, can someone suggest? —IB [ Poke ] 13:18, 20 July 2016 (UTC)

It looks like Sooner or Later (Madonna song), Hanky Panky (Madonna song) and Vogue (Madonna song) would have to be included.-- 19:31, 20 July 2016 (UTC)

Juhachi and Nergaal, do you guys think that Dick Tracy we can include? Because "Sooner or Later" was used in the film and it won the Oscar also for it. —IB [ Poke ] 09:48, 21 July 2016 (UTC)
I think that would be a stretch.-- 11:02, 21 July 2016 (UTC)

Promotion[edit]

Hey @Juhachi and GamerPro64, are Early history of video games, Rare Replay, and some of the others waiting on anything else for promotion? I was hoping to have RR ready by its one-year anniversary on August 4th. czar 07:56, 30 July 2016 (UTC)

Add another article to an existing Good/Featured topic[edit]

Hi @Juhachi and GamerPro64, can you please direct me to how to nominate another article for an existing GT/FT. The topic for Like a Virgin needs to be updated with the recent GAN article Like a Virgin & Other Big Hits! hence asking. Sorry if I missed the re-nomination procedure. —IB [ Poke ] 11:57, 30 August 2016 (UTC)

Time limit for nominations?[edit]

Hey everyone! Is there a time limit or a minimum amount of support votes a candidate for Good Topic has to achieve? I am asking because the nomination for 2015 Formula One season reports has been lying around exclusively supports for over a month now and I was wondering when a promotion would be happening? Zwerg Nase (talk) 11:47, 16 September 2016 (UTC)

I think that's nominated for good topic, not featured topic. Tvx1 14:46, 16 September 2016 (UTC)
@Tvx1: Yes, that's what I said. Zwerg Nase (talk) 15:39, 16 September 2016 (UTC)
Yes but this talk page is for Featured Topic candidates. Tvx1 15:43, 16 September 2016 (UTC)
There is no specific page for Good Topics... Zwerg Nase (talk) 15:45, 16 September 2016 (UTC)

Hey. Director of Featured Topics here. It's been slow here this year but I can promise you that the topic will be promoted by the end of the month. Sorry for taking too long. GamerPro64 15:47, 16 September 2016 (UTC)

@GamerPro64: Thanks :) Zwerg Nase (talk) 15:57, 16 September 2016 (UTC)

question on odd happening during nomination[edit]

So I recently opened Wikipedia:Featured topic candidates/NWA World Historic Light Heavyweight Championship/archive1 as a Good Topic Candidate - the championship and all champions were GA and Mexican wrestling championships rock steady with few changes, sometimes none in years. Well 3 days after I posted the nom it happened, someone else won the championship (Hechicero), who is a GAN but not a GA yet. Not sure what the protocol is on this happening during the nomination - if it was after it's fairly clear. My instincts would say to withdraw the nomination until the last article is a GA and then renominate, I guess I just want a second opinion from someone more experienced than me.  MPJ-DK  21:13, 5 November 2016 (UTC)

If this topic was a Good Topic now, there would be a three month grace period before taking it to removal consideration. I think that if the article fails its GAN the nomination will be failed. Sound good? GamerPro64 21:18, 5 November 2016 (UTC)
  • I am totally on board with that suggestion, than you.  MPJ-DK  21:23, 5 November 2016 (UTC)
  • And it is now a Good Article in line with the rest, so issue has been resolved.  MPJ-DK  23:30, 30 November 2016 (UTC)
Yeah you're good now. Just gotta get consensus now. GamerPro64 00:02, 1 December 2016 (UTC)
I am hoping that people were holding off due to the last article not being GA yet, hopefully the fix will get it more attention and (hopefully) support too.  MPJ-DK  23:06, 2 December 2016 (UTC)
