For the majority of us, the thought of waking up before sunrise, going for a long run in the cold and rain and having a rather abrasive drill instructor yell at us for most of the day is a bit too much to take. Basic training aside, even fewer of us would be able to cut it trying to tackle the specialized training required by the various armed forces. Such training goes far beyond multi-mile runs and an obstacle course. These drills really push human endurance to the edge – both physically and mentally.
In the world of strenuous military training and drills some stand out over others. To make their soldiers a bit more prepared, a little stronger or mentally tougher, some nations’ armed forces have a drill or two that really seems over the top. In certain instances, observers can be left wondering why on earth anyone would voluntarily endure such a brutal practice. From regular forces to special units, these following military drills definitely qualify as brutal. Potentially causing physical or mental harm, some of these drills come potentially close to killing those involved. It’s all enough to make most of us appreciate our boring office job just that little bit more.

7. ET-MP Grenade
The United States hadn't used a concussion grenade (or a grenade that is designed to damage a target only using explosive power) since 1975 when the military decommissioned the MK3A2 because of an asbestos hazard. Starting in 2011, Picatinny Arsenal began developing the Enhanced Tactical Multi-Purpose grenade, a new age weapon that gives the user the option to use the explosive as either a concussion or a fragmentation device with just the flip of a switch. The weapon is also ambidextrous whereas current models require a special arming procedure for lefties. Though not currently in service, the plan is to transition the new grenades into action by 2020.
6. Mini Nuclear Reactors
The South China Morning Post stated in a recent report that the country is developing small nuclear reactors and are hopeful that they will be in use within the next five years. The Chinese military, who would presumably use the reactors to power military installments on remote islands, has partially funded the project. Called hedianbao, the units have some amazing capabilities. At 20 feet long and a little over eight feet tall the reactors are small enough to fit in a shipping container but don’t let their size fool you, they pack quite a punch. The hedianbao generate 10 megawatts of energy, which is enough to power 50,000 households without needing to be refueled for decades.
5. Lun-class Ekranoplan
This massive flying ship makes an indelible impression on anyone that sees it in person. The only version ever built was designed in the Soviet Union in the 1980’s and was used by the Soviet and later Russian navies from 1987 to the late 1990’s. This remarkable piece of machinery comes equipped with eight turbojet engines that each generate 28,600 lbf of thrust. The Lun is also combat ready with 6 Moskitcruise missiles, 4 of which are capable of sinking any vessel in existence. Today the craft sits unused and rusting at a naval base in Kaspiysk.
4. HELLADS
Putting lasers on things can be a difficult and sometimes impossible task. Dr. Evil wanted (frickin’) laser beams attached to the heads of his sharks and he never got his wish. Luckily it seems that the Air Force’s dreams of having lasers small enough to attach to their planes is only a difficult prospect, but not impossible. Military contractor General Atomics is developing powerful lasers that will be small enough to mount on fighter planes. The Air Force hope to have the lasers on military aircraft by 2020.
3. Invisibility Cloak
While we are unfortunately not a part of the world behind Platform 9 and ¾, British troops are doing their best to bring a small part of the world of Harry Potter into real life. During trials which took place in the United States, a battalion of British troops employed an advanced camouflage sheeting called Vatec. The remarkable sheet made the user undetectable, not only by the human eye but from infrared and heat-seeking devices as well. British soldiers were very impressed with the sheets after testing them and recommended that the military should buy the camouflage equipment.
2. Meshworm
Researchers from Harvard, MIT, and South Korea’s Seoul National University combined their considerable intelligence to come up with Meshworm, a penny-sized robot made entirely of synthetic fibrous material that mimics the movements and actions of an earthworm. While it’s capable of recording the temperature of a small room and audio, Meshworms indestructible nature is one of its most impressive attributes. When tested, the robot was capable of withstanding being stepped on and repeatedly pounded with a hammer, while still being able to crawl away completely unharmed. Researchers speculate that the shape-changing artificial muscles found in Meshworm will be utilized in cell phones and portable devices shortly.

It is the thinnest substance ever discovered at one atom thick, the lightest material known to man with one square meter weighing around three-quarters of a milligram, the strongest material on earth and the best conductor of both electricity and heat at room temperature. Researchers are beyond excited about the substance, hailing it as the material that will lead to some of the greatest human achievements. Graphene Military Labs was recently created to research and apply graphene for military use. This research could lead to a new generation of lightweight batteries that charge in minutes and last much longer than current batteries. A patch of graphene could be designed to allow soldiers to know if an area is contaminated with even an acutely low amount of radiation. Researchers also hope to develop a touchpad that could be rolled up like a scroll using the wonder material.

7. Northern Thunder
A massive, unprecedented group of military exercises took place in northeastern Saudi Arabia earlier this year. The final stage of the exercises featured a two-hour mock battle that involved fighter jets, helicopters, and tanks. 20 nations, including all six members of the Gulf Cooperation Council (UAE, Saudi Arabia, Oman, Qatar, Kuwait and Yemen) and 350,000 troops were involved in the exercise. Saudi authorities referred to the maneuvers, which were meant to help combat the growing terrorist threat in the region, as the most important in the region’s history.
6. Philippine Hell Week
The final week of training for Philippine Navy SEAL’s tests the soldier's limits in as many ways as possible. During this diabolical week, soldiers are required to practice target shooting, run six miles and swim 18 miles while intoxicated. They are not allowed to sleep for more than an hour at a time during the entire week. The lesson to be learned here is never to get into a barroom fight with a Philippine Navy SEAL.
5. Avoiding a Wheel of Fire
Hamas security forces displayed their unique skill sets during a police academy graduation ceremony held in Gaza City on September 6 of this year. Formed in 1987 Hamas’s main ambition is to establish an Islamic Palestinian State to replace Israel. The group has maintained control of the Gaza Strip since 2007, and it is here and in the West Bank where their strength is centered. Human rights groups have routinely condemned their military tactics, which include suicide bombings and rocket attacks, as crimes against humanity and the U.S. government considers Hamas, a foreign terrorist organization.
4. RIMPAC
26 countries, 25,000 international troops and 45 surface ships were involved in the world’s largest maritime exercise, which concluded in early August of this year. The United States, Mexico, India, China and Australia were a few of the nations involved in the large-scale drill, which took place on the coasts of Hawaii and Southern California. The operation allows the allies to prepare for potential large amphibious missions. Training missions included amphibious attacks, helicopter raids and combined armed missions. The exercise, which started in 1971 and is hosted by the U.S. Pacific Fleet was the 25th to be performed in its history.
3. Surf Torture
The training involved with the U.S. Special Forces is incredibly arduous. On their first day recruits are woken up after 2 hours of sleep and required to perform strength training exercises while being doused in cold water and can only stop when someone quits. After this, they are given a small amount of food and water before working out in the frigidly cold sea in a drill known as surf torture. The Special Forces are currently only open to men. A recently aired BBC series chronicled a training session that involved both men and women and training tactics from special forces around the world. One of the standouts to emerge from this event was Clare Miller, a female doctor who persevered and performed in a way that made some of her male counterparts look like chumps. Miller’s success is sure to fuel the debate on whether or not women should be allowed to enter the United States Special Forces.
2. Road to Heaven
Marine Corps in Taiwan perform this appropriately named military exercise. After going through nine weeks of intense drilling, trainees can only graduate after they leopard crawl through 50 yards of pointy rocks and jagged coral. Along the course, the Marine hopefuls are also required to complete specific exercises while being berated by their superiors. Shockingly, trainees families are invited to witness the brutal event, which must make for great dinner table conversation afterward.

Is it any surprise that North Korea and their training tactics can be found on the top of this list? Perhaps the fact that we know anything extensive about the military operations of the highly secretive nation could be considered somewhat shocking. What we do know about their military training was provided by a defective military member and is pretty insane. Former North Korean Special Forces captain Im Cheon Yong described the training involved with being in the select group known as the Storm Corps. These soldiers are apparently required to punch a tree trunk 5,000 times in a row daily for a month. After this, they are asked to hit the jagged edge of a tin can until their hand is nothing more than a bloody pus covered slab of meat. To top it all off soldiers are finally directed to punch a pile of salt.

das Video gefällt und ihr euch auch selbst über das Bundesheer informiert. Mich haben die Hintergründe zu den einzelnen vom Militär Look angehauchten Kleidungsstücke interessiert (Schließlich habe ich auch meine VWA über die Entwicklung der Frauenmode und des Frauenbildes geschrieben), deswegen dachte ich, dass ich euch mal ein paar Infos dazu hier rein packe (:
Bereits in den 70er-Jahren, während der Antikriegsbewegung, hatte der Militärstil seine erste große Zeit.Später war vor allem für junge und emanzipierte Frauen war der Military Look ein Symbol für die Rebellion gegen den bürgerlichen Lebensstil.
Der Designer Christophe Decarnin sagte einmal über den Military Look bei Frauen: "Mein Frauenbild ist das einer Kriegerin."
Dieses Zitat fasst gut zusammen, was diese Stilrichtung für viele Frauen bedeutet und nach außen trägt.
Früher war militärische Kleidung tatsächlich bloß ein Symbol einer Sympathie oder Angehörigkeit des Militärs.
Jedoch ist sie seit einigen Jahren bei Frauen noch viel mehr. Damit ist die Militärkleidung für mich mehr als nur ein modischer Trend,sie ist auch ein Zeichen für Unabhängigkeit und Selbstbestimmung moderner Frauen.

Special forces
Special forces and special operations forces are military units trained to perform unconventional missions. Special forces, as they would now be recognised, emerged in the early 20th century, with a significant growth in the field during the Second World War.
Depending on the country, special forces may perform some of the following functions: airborne operations, counter-insurgency, "counter-terrorism", covert ops, direct action, hostage rescue, high-value targets/manhunting, intelligence operations, mobility operations, and unconventional warfare. The term “special forces” in the US refers to the US Army's forces while the term “special operation forces” refers to all units. In Russian-speaking countries special forces are typically called spetsnaz, an acronym for "special purpose". Likewise Russian speakers refer to special forces of other nations as spetsnaz, for example US Special Forces would be referred to as Amerikanski spetsnaz in Russian.

For the majority of us, the thought of waking up before sunrise, going for a long run in the cold and rain and having a rather abrasive drill instructor yell at us for most of the day is a bit too much to take. Basic training aside, even fewer of us would be able to cut it trying to tackle the specialized training required by the various armed forces. Such training goes far beyond multi-mile runs and an obstacle course. These drills really push human endurance to the edge – both physically and mentally. In the world of strenuous military training and drills some stand out over others. To make their soldiers a bit more prepared, a little stronger or mentally tougher, some nations’ armed forces have a drill or two that really seems over the top. In certain instances, observers can be left wondering why on earth anyone would voluntarily endure such a brutal practice. From regular forces to special units, these following military drills definitely qualify as brutal. Potentially causing physical or mental harm, some of these drills come potentially close to killing those involved. ET-MP Grenade The United States hadn't used a concussion grenade (or a grenade that is designed to damage a target only using explosive power) since 1975 when the military decommissioned the MK3A2 because of an asbestos hazard. Starting in 2011, Picatinny Arsenal began developing the Enhanced Tactical Multi-Purpose grenade, a new age weapon that gives the user the option to use the explosive as either a concussion or a fragmentation device with just the flip of a switch. The weapon is also ambidextrous whereas current models require a special arming procedure for lefties. Though not currently in service, the plan is to transition the new grenades into action by 2020. 6. Mini Nuclear Reactors The South China Morning Post stated in a recent report that the country is developing small nuclear reactors and are hopeful that they will be in use within the next five years. The Chinese military, who would presumably use the reactors to power military installments on remote islands, has partially funded the project. Called hedianbao, the units have some amazing capabilities. At 20 feet long and a little over eight feet tall the reactors are small enough to fit in a shipping container but don’t let their size fool you, they pack quite a punch. The hedianbao generate 10 megawatts of energy, which is enough to power 50,000 households without needing to be refueled for decades. 5. Lun-class Ekranoplan This massive flying ship makes an indelible impression on anyone that sees it in person. The only version ever built was designed in the Soviet Union in the 1980’s and was used by the Soviet and later Russian navies from 1987 to the late 1990’s. This remarkable piece of machinery comes equipped with eight turbojet engines that each generate 28,600 lbf of thrust. The Lun is also combat ready with 6 Moskitcruise missiles, 4 of which are capable of sinking any vessel in existence. Today the craft sits unused and rusting at a naval base in Kaspiysk. 4. HELLADS Putting lasers on things can be a difficult and sometimes impossible task. Dr. Evil wanted (frickin’) laser beams attached to the heads of his sharks and he never got his wish. Luckily it seems that the Air Force’s dreams of having lasers small enough to attach to their planes is only a difficult prospect, but not impossible. Military contractor General Atomics is developing powerful lasers that will be small enough to mount on fighter planes. The Air Force hope to have the lasers on military aircraft by 2020. 3. Invisibility Cloak While we are unfortunately not a part of the world behind Platform 9 and ¾, British troops are doing their best to bring a small part of the world of Harry Potter into real life. During trials which took place in the United States, a battalion of British troops employed an advanced camouflage sheeting called Vatec. The remarkable sheet made the user undetectable, not only by the human eye but from infrared and heat-seeking devices as well. British soldiers were very impressed with the sheets after testing them and recommended that the military should buy the camouflage equipment. 2. Meshworm Researchers from Harvard, MIT, and South Korea’s Seoul National University combined their considerable intelligence to come up with Meshworm, a penny-sized robot made entirely of synthetic fibrous material that mimics the movements and actions of an earthworm. While it’s capable of recording the temperature of a small room and audio, Meshworms indestructible nature is one of its most impressive attributes. When tested, the robot was capable of withstanding being stepped on and repeatedly pounded with a hammer, while still being able to crawl away completely unharmed. Researchers speculate that the shape-changing artificial muscles found in Meshworm will be utilized in cell phones and portable devices shortly. 1. Graphene It is the thinnest substance ever discovered at one atom thick, the lightest material known to man with one square meter weighing around three-quarters of a milligram, the strongest material on earth and the best conductor of both electricity and heat at room temperature. Researchers are beyond excited about the substance, hailing it as the material that will lead to some of the greatest human achievements. Graphene Military Labs was recently created to research and apply graphene for military use. This research could lead to a new generation of lightweight batteries that charge in minutes and last much longer than current batteries. A patch of graphene could be designed to allow soldiers to know if an area is contaminated with even an acutely low amount of radiation. Researchers also hope to develop a touchpad that could be rolled up like a scroll using the wonder material. -

Northern Thunder A massive, unprecedented group of military exercises took place in northeastern Saudi Arabia earlier this year. The final stage of the exercises featured a two-hour mock battle that involved fighter jets, helicopters, and tanks. 20 nations, including all six members of the Gulf Cooperation Council (UAE, Saudi Arabia, Oman, Qatar, Kuwait and Yemen) and 350,000 troops were involved in the exercise. Saudi authorities referred to the maneuvers, which were meant to help combat the growing terrorist threat in the region, as the most important in the region’s history. 6. Philippine Hell Week The final week of training for Philippine Navy SEAL’s tests the soldier's limits in as many ways as possible. During this diabolical week, soldiers are required to practice target shooting, run six miles and swim 18 miles while intoxicated. They are not allowed to sleep for more than an hour at a time during the entire week. The lesson to be learned here is never to get into a barroom fight with a Philippine Navy SEAL. 5. Avoiding a Wheel of Fire Hamas security forces displayed their unique skill sets during a police academy graduation ceremony held in Gaza City on September 6 of this year. Formed in 1987 Hamas’s main ambition is to establish an Islamic Palestinian State to replace Israel. The group has maintained control of the Gaza Strip since 2007, and it is here and in the West Bank where their strength is centered. Human rights groups have routinely condemned their military tactics, which include suicide bombings and rocket attacks, as crimes against humanity and the U.S. government considers Hamas, a foreign terrorist organization. 4. RIMPAC 26 countries, 25,000 international troops and 45 surface ships were involved in the world’s largest maritime exercise, which concluded in early August of this year. The United States, Mexico, India, China and Australia were a few of the nations involved in the large-scale drill, which took place on the coasts of Hawaii and Southern California. The operation allows the allies to prepare for potential large amphibious missions. Training missions included amphibious attacks, helicopter raids and combined armed missions. The exercise, which started in 1971 and is hosted by the U.S. Pacific Fleet was the 25th to be performed in its history. 3. Surf Torture The training involved with the U.S. Special Forces is incredibly arduous. On their first day recruits are woken up after 2 hours of sleep and required to perform strength training exercises while being doused in cold water and can only stop when someone quits. After this, they are given a small amount of food and water before working out in the frigidly cold sea in a drill known as surf torture. The Special Forces are currently only open to men. A recently aired BBC series chronicled a training session that involved both men and women and training tactics from special forces around the world. One of the standouts to emerge from this event was Clare Miller, a female doctor who persevered and performed in a way that made some of her male counterparts look like chumps. Miller’s success is sure to fuel the debate on whether or not women should be allowed to enter the United States Special Forces. 2. Road to Heaven Marine Corps in Taiwan perform this appropriately named military exercise. After going through nine weeks of intense drilling, trainees can only graduate after they leopard crawl through 50 yards of pointy rocks and jagged coral. Along the course, the Marine hopefuls are also required to complete specific exercises while being berated by their superiors. Shockingly, trainees families are invited to witness the brutal event, which must make for great dinner table conversation afterward. 1. Fists of Fury Is it any surprise that North Korea and their training tactics can be found on the top of this list? Perhaps the fact that we know anything extensive about the military operations of the highly secretive nation could be considered somewhat shocking. What we do know about their military training was provided by a defective military member and is pretty insane. Former North Korean Special Forces captain Im Cheon Yong described the training involved with being in the select group known as the Storm Corps. These soldiers are apparently required to punch a tree trunk 5,000 times in a row daily for a month. After this, they are asked to hit the jagged edge of a tin can until their hand is nothing more than a bloody pus covered slab of meat. To top it all off soldiers are finally directed to punch a pile of salt. -

Vielen Dank an das österreichische Bundesheer, für Zugang zur beeindruckenden Airbase in Zeltweg (Fliegerhorst Hinterstoisser) in der Steiermark! Ich hoffe, dass euch, das Video gefällt und ihr euch auch selbst über das Bundesheer informiert. Mich haben die Hintergründe zu den einzelnen vom Militär Look angehauchten Kleidungsstücke interessiert (Schließlich habe ich auch meine VWA über die Entwicklung der Frauenmode und des Frauenbildes geschrieben), deswegen dachte ich, dass ich euch mal ein paar Infos dazu hier rein packe (: Bereits in den 70er-Jahren, während der Antikriegsbewegung, hatte der Militärstil seine erste große Zeit.Später war vor allem für junge und emanzipierte Frauen war der Military Look ein Symbol für die Rebellion gegen den bürgerlichen Lebensstil. Der Designer Christophe Decarnin sagte einmal über den Military Look bei Frauen: "Mein Frauenbild ist das einer Kriegerin." Dieses Zitat fasst gut zusammen, was diese Stilrichtung für viele Frauen bedeutet und nach außen trägt. Früher war militärische Kleidung tatsächlich bloß ein Symbol einer Sympathie oder Angehörigkeit des Militärs. Jedoch ist sie seit einigen Jahren bei Frauen noch viel mehr. Damit ist die Militärkleidung für mich mehr als nur ein modischer Trend,sie ist auch ein Zeichen für Unabhängigkeit und Selbstbestimmung moderner Frauen. Plot: Mathias, whose dead father was a diplomat in Germany, decides to study the forensic medicine in Paris. In the train, he has some troubles with the border police, and is insulted and threatened by a strange man, who disappeared quickly. Next day, he discovers in his luggage a shrunken human head. He soons becomes fascinated by it, feeling responsible (sentry of the memory of the head's owner) and starts his own investigation. What will leads him to cope with French secret services.

In the world of strenuous military training and drills some stand out over others. To make their soldiers a bit more prepared, a little stronger or mentally tougher, some nations’ armed forces have a drill or two that really seems over the top. In certain instances, observers can be left wondering why on earth anyone would voluntarily endure such a brutal practice. From regular forces to special units, these following military drills definitely qualify as brutal. Potentially causing physical or mental harm, some of these drills come potentially close to killing those involved. It’s all enough to make most of us appreciate our boring office job just that little bit more.

The South China Morning Post stated in a recent report that the country is developing small nuclear reactors and are hopeful that they will be in use within the next five years. The Chinese military, who would presumably use the reactors to power military installments on remote islands, has partially funded the project. Called hedianbao, the units have some amazing capabilities. At 20 feet long and a little over eight feet tall the reactors are small enough to fit in a shipping container but don’t let their size fool you, they pack quite a punch. The hedianbao generate 10 megawatts of energy, which is enough to power 50,000 households without needing to be refueled for decades.
5. Lun-class Ekranoplan
This massive flying ship makes an indelible impression on anyone that sees it in person. The only version ever built was designed in the Soviet Union in the 1980’s and was used by the Soviet and later Russian navies from 1987 to the late 1990’s. This remarkable piece of machinery comes equipped with eight turbojet engines that each generate 28,600 lbf of thrust. The Lun is also combat ready with 6 Moskitcruise missiles, 4 of which are capable of sinking any vessel in existence. Today the craft sits unused and rusting at a naval base in Kaspiysk.

Putting lasers on things can be a difficult and sometimes impossible task. Dr. Evil wanted (frickin’) laser beams attached to the heads of his sharks and he never got his wish. Luckily it seems that the Air Force’s dreams of having lasers small enough to attach to their planes is only a difficult prospect, but not impossible. Military contractor General Atomics is developing powerful lasers that will be small enough to mount on fighter planes. The Air Force hope to have the lasers on military aircraft by 2020.

During trials which took place in the United States, a battalion of British troops employed an advanced camouflage sheeting called Vatec. The remarkable sheet made the user undetectable, not only by the human eye but from infrared and heat-seeking devices as well. British soldiers were very impressed with the sheets after testing them and recommended that the military should buy the camouflage equipment.

Researchers from Harvard, MIT, and South Korea’s Seoul National University combined their considerable intelligence to come up with Meshworm, a penny-sized robot made entirely of synthetic fibrous material that mimics the movements and actions of an earthworm. When tested, the robot was capable of withstanding being stepped on and repeatedly pounded with a hammer, while still being able to crawl away completely unharmed. Researchers speculate that the shape-changing artificial muscles found in Meshworm will be utilized in cell phones and portable devices shortly.

A massive, unprecedented group of military exercises took place in northeastern Saudi Arabia earlier this year. The final stage of the exercises featured a two-hour mock battle that involved fighter jets, helicopters, and tanks. 20 nations, including all six members of the Gulf Cooperation Council (UAE, Saudi Arabia, Oman, Qatar, Kuwait and Yemen) and 350,000 troops were involved in the exercise. Saudi authorities referred to the maneuvers, which were meant to help combat the growing terrorist threat in the region, as the most important in the region’s history.
6. Philippine Hell Week
The final week of training for Philippine Navy SEAL’s tests the soldier's limits in as many ways as possible. During this diabolical week, soldiers are required to practice target shooting, run six miles and swim 18 miles while intoxicated. They are not allowed to sleep for more than an hour at a time during the entire week. The lesson to be learned here is never to get into a barroom fight with a Philippine Navy SEAL.
5. Avoiding a Wheel of Fire
Hamas security forces displayed their unique skill sets during a police academy graduation ceremony held in Gaza City on September 6 of this year. Formed in 1987 Hamas’s main ambition is to establish an Islamic Palestinian State to replace Israel. The group has maintained control of the Gaza Strip since 2007, and it is here and in the West Bank where their strength is centered. Human rights groups have routinely condemned their military tactics, which include suicide bombings and rocket attacks, as crimes against humanity and the U.S. government considers Hamas, a foreign terrorist organization.
4. RIMPAC
26 countries, 25,000 international troops and 45 surface ships were involved in the world’s largest maritime exercise, which concluded in early August of this year. The United States, Mexico, India, China and Australia were a few of the nations involved in the large-scale drill, which took place on the coasts of Hawaii and Southern California. The operation allows the allies to prepare for potential large amphibious missions. Training missions included amphibious attacks, helicopter raids and combined armed missions. The exercise, which started in 1971 and is hosted by the U.S. Pacific Fleet was the 25th to be performed in its history.

The training involved with the U.S. Special Forces is incredibly arduous. On their first day recruits are woken up after 2 hours of sleep and required to perform strength training exercises while being doused in cold water and can only stop when someone quits. After this, they are given a small amount of food and water before working out in the frigidly cold sea in a drill known as surf torture. The Special Forces are currently only open to men. A recently aired BBC series chronicled a training session that involved both men and women and training tactics from special forces around the world. One of the standouts to emerge from this event was Clare Miller, a female doctor who persevered and performed in a way that made some of her male counterparts look like chumps. Miller’s success is sure to fuel the debate on whether or not women should be allowed to enter the United States Special Forces.

Heute gibt es ein Herbst Lookbook im Military Style, da ihr meine Lookbooks ja so gerne schaut. Vielen Dank an das österreichische Bundesheer, für Zugang zur beeindruckenden Airbase in Zeltweg (Fliegerhorst Hinterstoisser) in der Steiermark! Ich hoffe, dass euch,
das Video gefällt und ihr euch auch selbst über das Bundesheer informiert. Mich haben die Hintergründe zu den einzelnen vom Militär Look angehauchten Kleidungsstücke interessiert (Schließlich habe ich auch meine VWA über die Entwicklung der Frauenmode und des Frauenbildes geschrieben), deswegen dachte ich, dass ich euch mal ein paar Infos dazu hier rein packe (:
Bereits in den 70er-Jahren, während der Antikriegsbewegung, hatte der Militärstil seine erste große Zeit.Später war vor allem für junge und emanzipierte Frauen war der Military Look ein Symbol für die Rebellion gegen den bürgerlichen Lebensstil.
Der Designer Christophe Decarnin sagte einmal über den Military Look bei Frauen: "Mein Frauenbild ist das einer Kriegerin."
Dieses Zitat fasst gut zusammen, was diese Stilrichtung für viele Frauen bedeutet und nach außen trägt.
Früher war militärische Kleidung tatsächlich bloß ein Symbol einer Sympathie oder Angehörigkeit des Militärs.
Jedoch ist sie seit einigen Jahren bei Frauen noch viel mehr. Damit ist die Militärkleidung für mich mehr als nur ein modischer Trend,sie ist auch ein Zeichen für Unabhängigkeit und Selbstbestimmung moderner Frauen.

Bereits in den 70er-Jahren, während der Antikriegsbewegung, hatte der Militärstil seine erste große Zeit.Später war vor allem für junge und emanzipierte Frauen war der Military Look ein Symbol für die Rebellion gegen den bürgerlichen Lebensstil.
Der Designer Christophe Decarnin sagte einmal über den Military Look bei Frauen: "Mein Frauenbild ist das einer Kriegerin."
Dieses Zitat fasst gut zusammen, was diese Stilrichtung für viele Frauen bedeutet und nach außen trägt.
Früher war militärische Kleidung tatsächlich bloß ein Symbol einer Sympathie oder Angehörigkeit des Militärs.
Jedoch ist sie seit einigen Jahren bei Frauen noch viel mehr. Damit ist die Militärkleidung für mich mehr als nur ein modischer Trend,sie ist auch ein Zeichen für Unabhängigkeit und Selbstbestimmung moderner Frauen.
