A neighborhood watch or neighbourhood watch (see spelling differences), also called a crime watch or neighbourhood crime watch, is an organized group of civilians devoted to crime and vandalism prevention within a neighborhood. In other words, neighborhood watch is a crime prevention scheme under which civilians agree together to keep an eye on one another's properties, patrol the street, and report suspicious incidents to law enforcement.
The aim of neighborhood watch includes educating residents of a community on security and safety and achieving safe and secure neighborhoods. However, when a criminal activity is suspected, members are encouraged to report to authorities, and not to intervene.
In the United States, neighborhood watch builds on the concept of a town watch from Colonial America.
A neighborhood watch may be organized as its own group or may simply be a function of a neighborhood association or other community association.
Neighborhood watches are not vigilante organizations. When suspecting criminal activities, members are encouraged to contact authorities and not to intervene.
Paris (UK: /ˈpærɪs/ PARR-iss; US: i/ˈpɛərɪs/ PAIR-iss; French: [paʁi]) is the capital and most populous city of France. Situated on the Seine River, in the north of the country, it is in the centre of the Île-de-France region, also known as the région parisienne, "Paris Region". The City of Paris has an area of 105 km² (41 mi²) and a population of 2,241,346 (2014 estimate) within its administrative borders essentially unchanged since 1860.
Since the 19th century, the built-up area of Paris has grown far beyond its administrative borders; together with its suburbs, the whole agglomeration has a population of 10,550,350 (Jan. 2012 census).Paris' metropolitan area spans most of the Paris region and has a population of 12,341,418 (Jan. 2012 census), or one-fifth of the population of France. The administrative region covers 12,012 km² (4,638 mi²), with approximately 12 million inhabitants as of 2014, and has its own regional council and president.
Paris was founded in the 3rd century BC by a Celtic people called the Parisii, who gave the city its name. By the 12th century, Paris was the largest city in the western world, a prosperous trading centre, and the home of the University of Paris, one of the first in Europe. In the 18th century, it was the centre stage for the French Revolution, and became an important centre of finance, commerce, fashion, science, and the arts, a position it still retains today.
The Bastille (French pronunciation: [bastij]) was a fortress in Paris, known formally as the Bastille Saint-Antoine. It played an important role in the internal conflicts of France and for most of its history was used as a state prison by the kings of France. It was stormed by a crowd on 14 July 1789 in the French Revolution, becoming an important symbol for the French Republican movement, and was later demolished and replaced by the Place de la Bastille.
The Bastille was built to defend the eastern approach to the city of Paris from the English threat in the Hundred Years' War. Initial work began in 1357, but the main construction occurred from 1370 onwards, creating a strong fortress with eight towers that protected the strategic gateway of the Porte Saint-Antoine on the eastern edge of Paris. The innovative design proved influential in both France and England and was widely copied. The Bastille figured prominently in France's domestic conflicts, including the fighting between the rival factions of the Burgundians and the Armagnacs in the 15th century, and the Wars of Religion in the 16th. The fortress was declared a state prison in 1417; this role was expanded first under the English occupiers of the 1420s and 1430s, and then under Louis XI in the 1460s. The defences of the Bastille were fortified in response to the English and Imperial threat during the 1550s, with a bastion constructed to the east of the fortress. The Bastille played a key role in the rebellion of the Fronde and the battle of the faubourg Saint-Antoine, which was fought beneath its walls in 1652.
The Place de la Bastille is a square in Paris, where the Bastille prison stood until the 'Storming of the Bastille' and its subsequent physical destruction between 14 July 1789 and 14 July 1790 during the French Revolution; no vestige of it remains.
The square straddles 3 arrondissements of Paris, namely the 4th, 11th and 12th. The square and its surrounding areas are normally called simply Bastille.
The July Column (Colonne de Juillet) which commemorates the events of the July Revolution (1830) stands at the center of the square. Other notable features include the Bastille Opera, the Bastille subway station and a section of the Canal Saint Martin. Prior to 1984, the former Bastille railway station stood where the opera house now stands.
The square is home to concerts and similar events. The north-eastern area of Bastille is busy at night with its many cafés, bars, night clubs, and concert halls.
As a consequence of its historical significance, the square is often the site or point of departure of political demonstrations, including the massive anti-CPE demonstration of 28 March 2006.
Le Marais ("The Marsh", French pronunciation: [maʁɛ]) is a historic district in Paris, France. Long the aristocratic district of Paris, it hosts many outstanding buildings of historic and architectural importance. It spreads across parts of the 3rd and 4th arrondissements in Paris (on the Rive Droite, or Right Bank, of the Seine).
In 1240 the Order of the Temple built its fortified church just outside the walls of Paris, in the northern part of the Marais. The Temple turned this district into an attractive area, which became known as the Temple Quarter, and many religious institutions were built nearby: the des Blancs-Manteaux, de Sainte-Croix-de-la-Bretonnerie and des Carmes-Billettes convents, as well as the church of Sainte-Catherine-du-Val-des-Écoliers.
During the mid-13th century, Charles I of Anjou, King of Naples and Sicily, and brother of King Louis IX of France built his residence near the current n°7 rue de Sévigné. In 1361 the King Charles V built a mansion known as the Hôtel Saint-Pol in which the Royal Court settled during his reign as well as his son's.

It’s the daily news in France. Cars are burned every day in the dangerous neighborhoods. They burn cars to attract police and firefighters. Then they attack them with stones and molotov cocktails. During the new year, between 900 at 1000 cars are burned in France. This is what low-grade civil war looks like in the 21st century.

Parisian cafés are the stage for Parisian life. Sitting in a café is like being in the audience of "Parisian Life". The café is a pleasurable way of sitting unbothered for hours on end with a book, with friends, or just watching all sorts of people coming and going. It’s not so much about the coffee, it is about being a place to meet friends, network with colleagues, rendezvous. Tables are close to each other and you might easily hear the conversations of people around you. A Parisian café is rarely empty, regardless of the time of day, the neighborhood, or the weather. Yes, Paris café culture is seductive. Anti-Muslim protesters have ransacked a prayer hall on the French Mediterranean island of Corsica. A police official said the crowd of vandals also set fire to Islam’s holy book, the Qur’an, and damaged the prayer room in the city of Ajaccio. Police forces were deployed to the scene following the incident. France's Prime Minister Manuel Valls has condemned the attack and called it an unacceptable profanation of a Muslim place of prayer. The incident comes a day after two firefighters and a police officer were injured during unrests in a nearby neighborhood in the city. Anti-Muslim sentiments are on the rise in France, following terrorist attacks in Paris claimed by Daesh terrorists. "Neighborhood Watch"
by the NiDs from the 1987
release "Music to Detassle Corn By"
lyrics by Sean McCloud
We've got to stick together
We're neighbors
You never know when someone's gonna
break into your house. I knew it, it's
happened to me before
That's why I got this gun
I'm not afraid to use it either
Just remember that next time your brats
are over here in my yard
Don't get me wrong, though, I've got nothing
agaist kids, I've got nothihing agaist kids
Chorus: Protetion of property is common sense
Kill everybody in self-defense
So keep your frisbee off that lot
or you'll get caugt by the neighborhood watch
Damn yound punks. i fought in a war
for those bastards and what'll they do>
Fuck'in rob you of everything you got
Well, they'll be surprised next time
They try anything
This baby's loaded and just waiting
for some bastard to even act like he's
gonna break in, I'll fill his guts
with lead
Just make sure those damn brats of your
aren't messin around my yard or they might get it too
But don't get me wrong, I've got nothing
agaist kids, I've got nothing agaist kids
