Newly-Elected Members on Capitol Hill

The freshman class will be sworn in on January 3, 2017.

The 80-foot-tall Engelmann Spruce was selected among 'plenty of good candidates for the Capitol Christmas Tree,' said Architect of the Capitol Stephen T. Ayers. The U.S. Forest Service has upheld tradition of selecting the Capitol Christmas Tree since 1970.
