This game has great level design, an amazing soundtrack, and a perfect difficulty balance! In addition to this are the great bosses, and a completely FREE, extra playable character that entirely changes the gameplay! Not to mention the fact that Shovel Knight has never-ending buckets of charm, humor, and adventuring. One of my favorite games of all time!

Shovel Knight is one of the best platformers that I have ever played. The game has an epic story, great characters,sharp pixel graphics,and music that is so enchanting it fits with the story beautifully. There are three (soon to be four) characters that you can play as. The characters you can play as now are Shovel Knight, Plague Knight, and Specter Knight. The developers at Yacht Club Games have announced that they will be releasing Shovel Knight: King of Cards as the next (and probably final) DLC for the game. It will be coming in the Spring of 2018 and will allow you to play as King Knight. If you are a fan of pixelated platformers with a great story, then Shovel Knight: Treasure Trove is the game for you.

Fantastic game with great game/level design, a charming story for a retro indie title, solid gameplay with some nods to other retro games like Megaman, Castlevania, and Ducktales. Superior soundtrack and only gets better with the fact they are releasing free content with additional campaigns. If you love retro action platformers, this amazing title is for you! Props to YCG!

Platformers don't get much better than this. I love the artistic style of this game. Every level is unique, introducing new environments, enemies, and obstacles to deal with. The game is challenging, especially in the later stages, but never is unfair or frustrating enough to stop playing. There is also a lot to discover, collect, and upgrade your character with. This, combined with the fact that there is a new game plus mode and a secret character you unlock with his/her own campaign, makes Shovel Knight more than worthy of it's purchase price. If you like anything about old school platformers, I can pretty much guarantee that you will love this game

This is a fun, platformer with excellent level design! Has fun, memorable characters, and gameplay. I can't wait for Spectre of torment

As UNDERTALE is a great RPG based off the SNES, this game takes what made the NES great, and makes it better. There's something special about this game that I love. Like the original Zelda and Mario, there's no tutorial, causing you to problem solve. There's elements of puzzles (like I said), RPGs (picking how to spend and level) and platformers. And while hard, there are no life systems, as instead of Game Overs, you lose gold. And with a lot of free updates, there's always replay value.

great platforming along with a strong but fair challenge, nearly perfect. don't let its nostalgia visual style fool you. it packs a mean challenge if you discount it. very much worth picking up.

This game delivers a big shot of nostalgia and presents a good challenge with combat and some little puzzles a great game 10/10
