As Donald Trump's campaign for the White House kicks into high gear, the bombastic billionaire will be jetting across America on his private Boeing 757-200 airliner. Unlike most presidential candidates, The Donald actually owns his campaign plane.
"Trump Force One" — as some have dubbed the jet — will be one of the most visible symbols of Trump's run for the Oval Office.
Trump has owned the Boeing airliner— registration N757FA — since 2011 and has customized the aircraft to his liking.
Trump's Boeing 757-2J4ER first flew in May 1991. The brand-new airliner was delivered to Sterling Airlines, a now defunct Danish low-cost carrier. A couple years later, it found its way into the fleet of Mexico's TAESA, also a now defunct airline.
In 1995, the jet was purchased by Microsoft cofounder Paul Allen. For the next 15 years, the Boeing served as a corporate runabout for the billionaire's various interests.
In 2011, Trump took delivery of the then 20-year-old jet and added his personal touches, at great expense.
The current 757 took the place of Trump's former plane — a Boeing 727 built in 1969.
The Boeing 757 is powered by a pair of Rolls-Royce RB211 turbofan engines.

Boeing 757
The Boeing 757 is a mid-size, narrow-body twin-engine jet airliner that was designed and built by Boeing Commercial Airplanes. It is the manufacturer's largest single-aisle passenger aircraft and was produced from 1981 to 2004. The twinjet has a two-crew member glass cockpit, turbofan engines of sufficient power to allow takeoffs from relatively short runways and higher altitudes, a conventional tail and, for reduced aerodynamic drag, a supercritical wing design. Intended to replace the smaller three-engine 727 on short and medium routes, the 757 can carry 200 to 295 passengers for a maximum of 3,150 to 4,100 nautical miles (5,830 to 7,590 km), depending on variant. The 757 was designed concurrently with a wide-body twinjet, the 767, and owing to shared features pilots can obtain a common type rating that allows them to operate both aircraft.
The 757 was produced in two fuselage lengths. The original 757-200 entered service in 1983; the 757-200PF, a package freighter (PF) variant, and the 757-200M, a passenger-freighter combi model, debuted in the late 1980s. The stretched 757-300, the longest narrow-body twinjet ever produced, began service in 1999. Passenger 757-200s have been modified to special freighter (SF) specification for cargo use, while military derivatives include the C-32 transport, VIP carriers, and other multi-purpose aircraft. Private and government operators have also customized the 757 for research and transport roles. All 757s are powered by Rolls-Royce RB211 or Pratt & Whitney PW2000 series turbofans.

"Trump Force One" — as some have dubbed the jet — will be one of the most visible symbols of Trump's run for the Oval Office.
Trump has owned the Boeing airliner— registration N757FA — since 2011 and has customized the aircraft to his liking.
Trump's Boeing 757-2J4ER first flew in May 1991. The brand-new airliner was delivered to Sterling Airlines, a now defunct Danish low-cost carrier. A couple years later, it found its way into the fleet of Mexico's TAESA, also a now defunct airline.
In 1995, the jet was purchased by Microsoft cofounder Paul Allen. For the next 15 years, the Boeing served as a corporate runabout for the billionaire's various interests.
In 2011, Trump took delivery of the then 20-year-old jet and added his personal touches, at great expense.
The current 757 took the place of Trump's former plane — a Boeing 727 built in 1969.

This was stage one of my journey from New York over to Vancouver which would take me via Charlotte and Dallas Ft Worth. A cold morning departure from New York, lots of condensation and water sitting on the wing which quickly pours off once we begin moving. Check out that smokey engine startup, typical cold morning start. A long wait at JFK for departure, as expected at this time of the morning. Sat in a queue of a good 15 aircraft awaiting departure, then an Emirates A380 arrived as well. But finally we were on our way. A beautiful morning for flying out of New York, left turn immediately to take us heading south down the coast. Look out for Baltimore Airport seen below during the cruise. Then a long descent down into Charlotte Douglas Airport, was put in a hold for a while awaiting our path to arrive before finally turning in for arrival. A long line of aircraft (All American Airlines) waiting by the runway for departure as we arrive.

Our journey begins in the busy terminal at Philadelphia on a busy evening, as flights prepare to head off to Europe. We board our aircraft, a 22 year old Boeing 757-200 N938UW and take our seats to commence our short overnight flight to Ireland.
After a short taxi we get airborne and head towards New York, lighting up the clouds below. From New York it's on towards Canada and out across the Atlantic as we are served dinner.
The sun starts to rise around 4h45m into the video, and we are soon treated to a beautiful dawn sky over the North Atlantic, illuminating the clouds below in a beautiful pink color.
The cabin lights soon come on and breakfast is served, as we commence our descent. We make a beautiful approach and landing into Dublin, landing ahead of schedule after a flight time from Philadelphia of just 5h41m. We disembark the aircraft and head through Dublin's Terminal 2, emerging streetside with minimal delay.

A flight video including the taxi, takeoff, approach and landing of flight LS273 to Alicante-Elche airport in the south-east of Spain. Great RB211 sound on departure from runway 32 at Leeds and great scenes over the Pyrenees before arrival into Alicante.
A great flight on board the 26 year old aircraft. It does not reflect its age on the inside nor outside. For a low-cost airline there was plenty of legroom and comfortable seats. The cockpit is newly retrofitted with brand new LCD displays for the primary flight display and navigational displays. Jet2.com certainly look after their aircraft considering that most of them are not young at all, but they are comfortable and clean. The flight was very smooth although winds were gusting up to 25knts on takeoff so we were thrown around a bit. We took off with fairly reduced thrust (54oC) and CLB2 thrust was used at thrust reduction altitude. Vectors after departure were south towards Manchester, the airport can be seen until we reached our cruising altitude of 35000ft. The arrival took us over Valencia directly towards the approach for runway 10, then finally the right turn towards the east for a fairly smooth landing. We were positioned at a remote stand after landing. Overall views of Jet2.com are very positive, this was the second time flying with them, the first being Geneva but I hope they will keep their 757's for much more time to come as they are an asset to the fleet and also the aviation industry.
