Lewis Hamilton: I deserve to win title

Ahead of the Formula 1 title-decider in Abu Dhabi, defending champion Lewis Hamilton believes he has 'overcome adversity' this season, and subsequently deserves to clinch the championship over Mercedes team-mate Nico Rosberg.

Rosberg leads the standings 12 points ahead of the three-time champion Hamilton and would wrap up a first world title with a podium finish even if Hamilton wins Sunday's race.

Both drivers have won nine races this season.

Creating added interest is the fact that the Red Bulls of Ricciardo and teammate Max Verstappen (sixth) will start on the more durable super soft tyres.

Mercedes chairman Niki Lauda was happy to see an all-Mercedes front row.
