Fire at Pialligo recycling plant fire extinguished after re-igniting
A fire that was burning on and off for days at a Pialligo recycling plant has been extinguished again.
Firefighters attended the re-ignited fire on Sunday afternoon, days after it last flared up in a pile of mulch and wooden pallets at the recycling plant.
On Sunday, an ACT Fire and Rescue spokesman said the fire was five metres by six metres as of 2.30pm and 10 units were at the scene, while a bulldozer had been called to help move the mulch.
People in the area were warned they may notice some "additional smoke".
At about 6.15pm, an emergency services spokesperson said that fire had been extinguished and crews had left the scene.
