The Monash Freeway in-bound is travelling well enough now. It is taking 53 minutes to travel from Clyde Road to Kings Way with the worst of the traffic still between Eastlink and Warrigal Road which is taking 20 minutes.

Yet more pain on the Monash Freeway, again out-bound.
This time it is a breakdown near Burke Road, Glen Iris, closing one lane. The speed limit is down to 40km/h with delays on the approach.

Police are chasing a car and there is speculation on 3AW that it is the Porsche stolen from Croydon in the early hours of this morning.

While you contemplate whether you really need to drive anywhere near the Monash Freeway today, let's take a look at Royal Arcade this Christmas.
Just as the truck crash was cleared outbound on the Monash, there is another smash, this time involving three cars blocking the right-hand lane at High Street, Glen Iris.
Traffic is heavy past Toorak Road.
VicRoads says the traffic inbound is backed up to Heatherton Road.
Drivers are being directed to the Ferntree Gully and Forster roads on ramps instead and traffic is flowing OK on those roads, VicRoads says.
