Orchestra

The Royal Philharmonic Orchestra or Royal Philharmonic Orchestra (RPO) is a London Symphony Orchestra sometimes called "Britain's National Orchestra." Founded in 1946 by the conductor Thomas Beecham, the first concert was held in Croydon September 15, 1946. Beecham becomes principal conductor until his death in 1961.
