Malayalam calendar

Kollam Era (also known as Malayalam Era or Kollavarsham or Malayalam Calendar or Malabar Era) is a solar and sidereal Hindu calendar used in Kerala, India. The origin of the calendar has been dated as 825 CE (Pothu Varsham) at Kollam(Quilon). It replaced the traditional Hindu calendar used widely else where in India and is now prominently used in Kerala. All temple events, festivals and agricultural events in the state are decided according to the dates in the Malayalam calendar.

History

Regarding the Origin of the Malayalam calendar - the Kolla Varsham is having many theories. Some of the major theories are as follows.

Motu Patlu

Motu Patlu is an India CGI animated Sitcom television series airing on Nickelodeon. It is adapted from the classic comic strip on Lot Pot. It was premiered on 16 October 2012, beginning with episode "John Banega Don". It focuses on two friends, Motu and Patlu, living in the fictional city Furfuri Nagar. It focuses on how they land in hilarious situations and later rescue themselves merely by luck. Motu and Patlu are intimate friends of each other.

The director is Suhas Kadav and the theme music composer is Sandesh Shandilya. The producers are Deepa Sahi and Anish JS Mehta. The theme song "Motu Aur Patlu Ki Jodi" is sung by Sukhwinder Singh.Motu Patlu is based on characters created by Kripa Shankar Bhardwaj in 1960s for Lot Pot Magazine. After the success of Season One, Season Two premiered in 2013. Later, Season Three premiered on October 20, 2014 and season 4 premiered in June 2015.

Plot

The story revolves around Motu and Patlu, two friends living in Furfuri Nagar. It focuses on how they land in hilarious situations and later rescue themselves merely by luck. Motu and Patlu are intimate friends of each other. Samosa is the favourite food of Motu. . Motu always tries to steal samosas from a Chaiwala who is the only one who makes the best samosas in the city. Motu mainly creates problem and Patlu always solve it, some times Ghasita Ram,Chingam and Dr. Jhatka help them.

Tere Pyar Mein

Tere Pyar Mein (Urdu: تیرے پیار میں) (lit: In Your Love) is a Pakistani film which was released in December 2000. It launched the career of Zara Sheikh in Lollywood.

Plot

The story is about a young Indian Sikh girl Preety played by Zara Sheikh, who goes to the historical city of Lahore, Pakistan for pilgrimage with her father. She falls in love with a Pakistani boy named Ali (Shaan) who is a banker and also her dad's friend's son. After pilgrimage she goes back to her country. Ali realises what he has lost and goes after her. They both are delighted to see each other but Preety's friend, who is also in Indian Army, is not able to bear Preety falling in love with a Pakistani as he wants to marry her. He sends his forces after the two lovers by claiming that they are spying for Pakistan. The couple flees and after days of hide and seek, Ali is finally able to destroy the Army cars following them. In the last scene, the lovers arrive at the Pakistan-India border where they see a Pakistani Flag and their emotions are filled with joy and relief.

Gori Tere Pyaar Mein

Gori Tere Pyaar Mein is a 2013 Indian romantic comedy film written and directed by Punit Malhotra. Produced by Karan Johar under the banner of Dharma Productions, the film features Imran Khan and Kareena Kapoor Khan in pivotal roles.

Plot

Sriram Venkat lives with his family in Bangalore. Sriram is a cool guy who loves himself and has just returned from studying architecture in the United States. Sriram is brought the marriage proposal of Vasudha (Shraddha Kapoor). Sriram accepts the marriage proposal but Vasudha is reluctant to marry Sriram as she loves a Punjabi boy, Kamal, who has no job and is a social worker. Sriram takes Vasudha to a restaurant and narrates his story about when he was in love with Dia Sharma (Kareena Kapoor), also a social worker. Sriram meets Dia in Delhi when he comes with his girlfriend Jyoshna to attend her brother’s wedding. In order to clear the traffic on the road, Dia uses Sriram’s jacket to make her stomach appear pregnant.

Sriram meets Dia again after 6 months at a mall opening in Bangalore. Dia sends all the children inside the mall to play as there was no place for the kids to play. Sriram gets impressed by Dia and they start dating. On one such date, Dia takes Sriram to a place where she wants to build an orphanage. While on the other side, Sriram is sad as his dad is not buying him an Audi. There are many builders behind that property. One late evening Sriram calls Dia outside her hotel. Dia learns that Sriram has bought the property to his father and in return he has got an Audi. Dia has an argument with Sriram because the land he has brought for his dad is the land Dia had chosen for building an orphanage.She soon breaks up with him after a relationship of more than 1 year.
