Foundation

Governance

The Fondation Maison des Sciences de l’Homme (social sciences and humanitites research foundation) is recognized as an institution of public interest.  It is governed by the statutes annexed to the 4 January 1963 decree.

It is managed by a board from which is elected an executive committee, a finance commission, and a scientific commission.

The Foundation is led by an administrator appointed by the Minister of Higher Learning and Research upon a proposal from the board.  In coordinating and managing services, the administrator is assisted by a council of directors from the research centers and institutes housed at the Foundation.

Since 1993, the Foundation has been evaluated by an international assessment committee.
