Lima /ˈliːmə/ is the capital and the largest city of Peru. It is located in the valleys of the Chillón, Rímac and Lurín rivers, in the central coastal part of the country, overlooking the Pacific Ocean. Together with the seaport of Callao, it forms a contiguous urban area known as the Lima Metropolitan Area. With a population of almost 10 million, Lima is the most populous metropolitan area of Peru, and the third largest city in the Americas (as defined by "city proper"), just behind São Paulo and Mexico City.
Lima was founded by Spanish conquistador Francisco Pizarro on January 18, 1535, as Ciudad de los Reyes. It became the capital and most important city in the Spanish Viceroyalty of Peru. Following the Peruvian War of Independence, it became the capital of the Republic of Peru. Today, around one-third of the Peruvian population lives in the metropolitan area.
Lima is home to one of the oldest higher learning institutions in the New World. The National University of San Marcos, founded on May 12 of 1551, during Spanish colonial regime, is the oldest continuously functioning university in the Americas.
Tom Novy (born Thomas Reichold) is a DJ and producer from Munich, Germany. He was the author of several club hits including "Without Your Love" and "Your Body". The latter has reached the top 40 of the ARIAnet Singles Chart in July 2005, and the top 10 of the UK Singles Chart in December 2005. The song was the 142nd highest selling song of the year in the UK.
Novy started producing music in 1994 when he signed for the Munich based record label, Kosmo Records, with his first record, "I House U", a cover of the Jungle Brothers' "I'll House You", with lyrics by Novy. His original tracks ran more along the subgenre of European-flavoured progressive house, until he started working with Eniac, better known as co-producer of DJ Tomcraft. Since then, Novy has moved to a Chicago-style garage house sound, usually vocalized. After a few more tracks on his own, Novy has once more taken on a studio partner, Adrian Misiewicz of DJ Manga.
Club Mix is a two-disc album remixed by British musician/DJ Sonique and released in 2001.
Nivaldo Batista Lima (born 3 September 1989), better known by his stage name Gusttavo Lima, is a Brazilian singer of sertaneja. Known in his country with many hits, like "Inventor dos Amores", "Cor de Ouro" and gained international fame and success through the song "Balada". He is often compared to the sertanejo singers Luan Santana and Michel Teló.
Son of Alcino and Sebastiana Lima, Gusttavo was born in Minas Gerais and grew up in Goiânia, Goiás. In 1998 while he was just 9, he joined as soloist in a choir and gained attention through his interpretation of "É o Amor", composed by Zezé di Camargo & Luciano. Gusttavo cited as some of his main inspirations Gino & Geno, Chitãozinho & Xororó, Bruno & Marrone and Zeze di Camargo.
In 2010, he signed with Som Livre label and released Inventor dos Amores, as a CD and DVD, with sales of 15,000 copies. The title track was a collaboration with Jorge & Mateus, reaching #24 in the Brazilian Billboard Brasil charts. Based on this initial success, he released the single "Cor de Ouro" that reached #21 in Brazil.
"Balada" (full title "Balada (Tchê Tcherere Tchê Tchê)", also known as "Balada Boa") is a song by Brazilian Sertanejo artist Gusttavo Lima from his album Gusttavo Lima e Você (2011). Written by Gusttavo Lima and Cássio Sampaio, it was released on January 21, 2011, in Brazil through label Som Livre. The song became a success in Brazil: it reached the 3rd position in the Brazilian Billboard Hot 100.
International fame came when the popular song was released worldwide on April 13, 2012, through label Universal Music. The song became a success in most of Europe, just as Michel Teló's song "Ai se eu te pego!", becoming a number-one hit in Belgium (Flanders), France, Honduras, Italy, Luxembourg and the Netherlands (13 weeks at number one in the Dutch Top 40, a new record).

https://www.expedia.com/Lima.d178277.Destination-Travel-Guides Lima gives access to the mystical city of Machu Picchu in the Andes, Lake Titicaca in the highlands, the lush Amazon jungle and Peru’s coastal desert. But, before you go to see all of this, it’s worth exploring the capital first. Just like Peru’s landscapes, Lima is a city of contrasts: rich and poor, ancient and modern, practical and elegant, fascinating and entertaining. In Lima’s Historic Center is the Plaza de Armas, also known as the Plaza Mayor. This is where the Spanish explorer founded Lima and the Lima Cathedral, contains the tomb of Francisco Pizarro. Next door, the Government Palace is still the official seat of government today. Outside of the city center are many more visitor attractions. The Bajada de los Baños...
