Sedlec may refer to:
Kutná Hora (Czech pronunciation: [ˈkutnaː ˈɦora]; medieval Czech: Hory Kutné; German: Kuttenberg) is a city situated in the Central Bohemian Region of Bohemia, which is now part of the Czech Republic.
The town began in 1142 with the settlement of the first Cistercian monastery in Bohemia, Sedlec Monastery, brought from the Imperial immediate Cistercian Waldsassen Abbey. By 1260 German miners began to mine for silver in the mountain region, which they named Kuttenberg, and which was part of the monastery property. The name of the mountain is said to have derived from the monks' cowls (the Kutten) or from the word mining (kutání in old Czech). Under Abbot Heidenreich the territory greatly advanced due to the silver mines which gained importance during the economic boom of the 13th century.
The earliest traces of silver have been found dating back to the 10th century, when Bohemia already had been in the crossroads of long-distance trade for many centuries. Silver dinars have been discovered belonging to the period between 982–995 in the settlement of Malín, which is now a part of Kutná Hora.
The Czech Republic (i/ˈtʃɛk rᵻˈpʌblɪk/ CHEK-rə-PUB-lik;Czech: Česká republika [ˈt͡ʃɛskaː ˈrɛpuˌblɪka]) is a landlocked country in Central Europe bordered by Germany to the west, Austria to the south, Slovakia to the southeast and Poland to the northeast. The capital and largest city, Prague, has over 1.2 million residents. The Czech Republic includes the historical territories of Bohemia,Moravia, and Czech Silesia.
The Czech state was formed in the late 9th century as the Duchy of Bohemia under the Great Moravian Empire. After the fall of the Empire in 907, the centre of power transferred from Moravia to Bohemia under the Přemyslids. In 1004, the duchy was formally recognized as part of the Holy Roman Empire, becoming the Kingdom of Bohemia in 1212, and reaching its greatest territorial extent in the 14th century. The King of Bohemia ruled not only Bohemia itself, but also other lands, which together formed the so-called Crown of Bohemia, and he had a vote in the election of the Holy Roman Emperor. In the Hussite wars of the 15th century driven by the Bohemian Reformation, the kingdom faced economic embargoes and defeated five crusades proclaimed by the leaders of the Roman Catholic Church and organized mainly by the emperor and princes of the Holy Roman Empire.

The Sedlec Ossuary (Czech: Kostnice v Sedlci) is a small Roman Catholic chapel, located beneath the Cemetery Church of All Saints (Czech: Hřbitovní kostel Všech Svatých) in Sedlec, a suburb of Kutná Hora in the Czech Republic. It is one of twelve World Heritage Sites in the Czech Republic. The ossuary is estimated to contain the skeletons of between 40,000 and 70,000 people, whose bones have, in many cases, been artistically arranged to form decorations and furnishings for the chapel. The ossuary is among the most visited tourist attractions of the Czech Republic - attracting over 200,000 visitors annually.
Four enormous bell-shaped mounds occupy the corners of the chapel. An enormous chandelier of bones, which contains at least one of every bone in the human body, hangs from the center of the nave with garlands of skulls draping the vault. Other works include piers and monstrances flanking the altar, a coat of arms of House of Schwarzenberg, and the signature of Rint, also executed in bone, on the wall near the entrance.

The Church of Bones (2003): The remains of over 40,000 people provide the 'unusual' decoration for Bohemia's most notorious church. For downloads and more information visit http://journeyman.tv/11580/short-films/church-of-bones.html The bones grace the walls, ceilings and floors. "It looks to me like a scene from a horror movie -- but it is very nice," comments one visitor. The decor was inspired by the need to address overcrowding in the cemetery during the 19th century. Townsfolk see the church as a place of worship but detractors say the dead should be left to rest in peace -- not pieces. In Sedlec, a village in the district of the Czech town Kutna Hora, you may find a true gem of Gothic architecture and a prime example of the simplicity of the Cistercian architecture that could do without any effects and exaggerated decorations: The former monastery church of the Assumption of Our Lady and Saint John the Baptist. The monastery in Sedlec was the first branch of the Cistercian monks on Bohemian soil. Via the monasteries Kamp on the Lower Rhine, Volkenroda and Waldsassen, it was a branch monastery of Morimond Abbey, one of the four direct daughter houses of Cîtaux Abbey. Sitting in the lazy chair,
the channels look the same
I realize that the roof is stable
and start to feel ashamed
it's cold outside but dont ask me
the weather's fine in here
ask the man around the corner
who lives his life in fear
Two hundred pennies,
forty ounces later he's okay
he doesn't have the pressure
to think about the next day
but I bet it's something cold
and hard and grey
Complaining and whining all the time
I never seem to quit
always lying to myself,
A shoe that always fits
never is a long time and
it seems like I'm a clock
ticking like a time bomb,
someday soon his life will stop
I listen to the radio but
nothing good is on
my friends are calling up but I'm
pretending I'm gone
we're all pieces in a chess game
he's a pawn
I wonder how it turned out like this
no one seems to care
the scale has tipped me fortunate
is this what we call fair?
but I've never had the mind to know it
never had the guts to show it
