Well at long last I've managed to get a post together and bloody hell it took me ages, I'd forgotten how to work all this! This post is mainly because I got
The Masonics, '
In Your Night Of Dreams And Other Foreboding Pleasures ' back in September and it hasn't been of the player since, I love this band and this Garage Punk sound, I must give out two massive thanks to the sites that keep introducing me into new and old goodies like this. Firstly the saved

Lazy but he's some bits taken from the press release.
Something of a garage - rock'n'roll super group The Masonics are a winning combination - featuring musicians who have done their time in such brilliant groups as Thee Milkshakes, Pop Rivets, Wildebeests, Kaisers, Headcoats, del Monas and more. Not bad seeing as there's only three of 'em, Mickey Hampshire, Bruce Brand and John Gibbs.
Master of the Medway beat made famous and very talented
Mr Billy Childish, Bruce played alongside childish in the Pop Rivets back in the late 1970's and he and Mickey were both in Thee Milkshakes. Anyone who has had a passing interest in garage and beat music from the last 25 years will have come across the names of the bands in which the three members of the devilishly stylish Masonics have spent time. Combining their previous bands sixties beat, US garage and instrumental styling with punk rock attitude, this is a band that pays attention to detail with a talent for songwriting coming to the fore.
Singer/guitarist Mickey Hampshire posses a merciless instinct for touching simple, timeless, rock 'n' roll melodies and lyrics. The band perform with verve and precision, on record and on stage, always giving their followers their money's worth. Bruce Brand pounds the traps like it could save your life, John Gibb twangs the strings with a gut instinct, taking you into a groove with grit and gumption.
Eight albums down the line The Masonics remain more hard hitting and vital than any group of teenage hopefuls on the scene.
This live recording is from the launch party of the above mentioned LP.
