Plot: Employed with HMTV, Pavan/Abhimanyu lives in Hyderabad and is in constant touch with his retired father, Krishnamurthy, and mother. His boss, Sudarshan Babu, hires a Creative Consultant, Surya/Prabhakar Garu, their TV channel undergoes a number of changes, and he gets to interview various people. He meets with Anjali, an employee with Airtel, and both dramatically fall in love. While investigating corrupt politicians, he comes across evidence and decides to join the gang of a gangster named Bada. Still involved in gathering evidence, his world will come crashing around him when he will be told that his parents and many others have been killed after their bus was torched by hooligans. Plot: Varsha has been brought up in an orthodox Hindu family, and has been taught to treat her husband as her God. When she marries influential politician, Bittu Singh, she decides to be the ideal Hindu wife and becomes his shadow, bowing down to his every command. When the time for election comes, Bittu prepares himself for an election in which he may become the Chief Minister of the State, while a pregnant Varsha prepares herself for mother-hood. When Bittu asks Varsha to accompany him to one of his speeches, she agrees to do so. On the way there they are attacked, their driver is killed, Bittu and Varsha are assaulted, and as a result loses her child. Bittu wins the elections and becomes the State's new Chief Minister, leaving Varsha in hospital to deal with her loss and mental agony. When Varsha recovers, she returns to Bittu, who now resides in a palatial home, and once she settles down, she demands that he bring their assailants to justice. A man named Shiva is arrested, he confesses, and is sentenced to several years in jail. Then Varsha meets with a young journalist named Sanjay, and it is this meeting that will change her life and her way of thinking forever, as well as bring her face to face with the very people who were responsible for the loss of her child.

Plot: When Shantvarkumar Sharma and his wife, Gyanvati, find out they are unable to conceive, they pray for years to Bhagwan Shri Brahma, who eventually appears before them, blesses them, tells them they will soon be proud parents of a devoted son, but warns them not to see him or else they will lose their vision. True enough, a son, Shravankumar, is born, but barely after a month after his birth, the couple break their promise, see him, and become blind. One day at the riverbank, Gyanvati finds that her son is missing, but he is eventually brought back to them unharmed by none other than Maharaja Dashrath, who has been childless for years. Shantvar and Gyanvati bless him with not one but four sons. Years later Shravankumar has grown up and is very devoted to his parents, he even prefers to worship them instead of God, much to chagrin of Devi Maa Maya, who decides to test his devotion. When he finds out that it was because of him they lost their vision, he undertakes to take them on a holy Trithyatra (prilgrimage) so as to restore their vision, he decides to carry them in a palanquin,instead of a chariot offer by Dashrath, and they share many adventures including getting blessed by Bhagwan Shri Shiv himself. On the last leg of their pilgrimage, Dashrath is hunting a man-eating tiger, while Shravan has gone to the riverbank to get some water for his thirsty parents. Dashrath thinks that the tiger is drinking water, shoots it, and instead kills Shravan. When a horrified Dashrath takes the water to his parents, they curse him that his dead body will never be carried by his sons, and he will be separated from his most beloved son. Soon after this both of them die, leaving Dashrath to atone for his sin - a sin that will result in the reincarnation of Bhagwan Shri Vishnu himself as his son, Bhagwan Shri Ram - who will be separated from him to satisfy a whim of Dashrath's wife, Kaikeyi, thus leading to epic Ramayan.

Plot: Ajit lives with his mother, and comes from a very wealthy family. He meets with beautiful Shobha and both fall in love with each other. Ajit's mom is delighted and agrees to meet with Harikishan Rai, Shobha's father, to finalize their marriage. The marriage takes place with great pomp and ceremony. A few years later, Ajit notices a change in Shobha's behavior. She changes her lifestyle, adopts a more liberal outlook, takes to drinking alcohol, and has an hair-cut. Ajit and his mom are perplexed and appalled at this change, and want to find out, but Shobha refuses to tell them anything. One day, Shobha and Ajit's mom have an argument, and Shobha angrily lifts up her hand to slap her, only to be stopped by Ajit, who asks Shobha to leave immediately. Shobha leaves and returns to her father's house, leaving Ajit and his mother behind wondering what had changed Shobha so much, and whether to get Ajit married a second time or not.

Plot: Chiranjeev lives a wealthy lifestyle along with his widowed father, Kashiram, two sisters, one of who is dumb, and a younger brother. While on a trip, his friend, Mohan, falls ill due to high consumption of alcohol, and gets treated at a Ashram. This is where Chiranjeev meets with an employee, Sharada, who lives a poor lifestyle with her widowed father, Ram Sharan, and both fall in love with each other. Chiranjeev promises to get his father's permission and return to get married to her. On the way he has an accident, he does survive, is looked after by tribal people, and after several days returns to the Ashram only to get the shocking news that Sharada is now married to a very wealthy and much older male. Devastated, he returns home and gets another shock when he finds that the male Sharada has married is no other than his very own father. He gets depressed and takes to alcohol in a big way. Sharada talks him out of this, he repents, and on her insistence, gets married to Chanchal, the daughter of Hukumdas and Lajjo, who come from a wealthy background. Things then spiral out of control when Chanchal finds out that her husband and his step-mother had been in love before and may not have overcome their intimate feelings for each other.

Plot: Bombay-based Meena lives a wealthy lifestyle along with her Chacha and Chachi in a mansion. When asked to marry, she places an advertisement in the local newspaper, and after interviewing many males, chooses Manohar to be her future husband. She shares this news as well as introduces him to her family - who disapprove and remind her that her late father had selected a groom named Sunder even before she was born. She scoffs at this and announces that she will marry Manohar soon. Then Sunder, who was living at an ashram for Brahmacharis, shows up at her home - complete with beard and traditional clothing - and is all set to get married to her. When facing rejection, he decides to change his lifestyle and be like Manohar - and does so - albeit with hilarious results. He is pleased when he notices a change in her and takes her home to introduce her to his mother - little knowing that the change is only superficial - and she an hidden agenda that she wants to accomplish deceptively.

Plot: Unable to find employment, and unable to get any money by begging, young Kundan steals a loaf of bread from a bakery and runs to his house in the slums to feed his starving mother and niece, Radha. The police catch up with him, and he is arrested, tried in court, convicted, and sentenced to 2 years rigorous imprisonment. While in prison, he gets word that his mother is dead, and his niece is still starving and alone, and attempts to break out, but is caught and gets five years added to his sentence. He attempts to break out again, and this time he gets an additional 7 years in jail, bringing the total to 14 years. After 14 years, Kundan roams around a city, trying to find shelter and food, but finds that his prison career following him around in the shape and form of Inspector Sher Singh. Good fortune comes to Kundan, when he meets with Gurudev, a kind-hearted samaritan, who helps him financially. Kundan is well settled now, and the people in his town want him to be the Mayor, which he accepts. He also meets with his ill niece, but is unable to save her. She leaves behind a daughter named Uma. Sher Singh enters his life, and gets Kundan on the run. Kundan and Uma ultimately settle down again, and the years roll by. Uma grows up and meets a young man named Amrit, who is involved in the freedom struggle to get the British to quit India, and thus in trouble with the police. Sher Singh comes looking after for Amrit, but instead finds Kundan. Kundan must decide to make a run for it again, or confront Sher Singh and end this victimization once and for all.

Plot: On the day of his wedding, the life of a jailer is saved by an inmate during a prison break. Back in his cell the prisoner, Kishore, recounts his life story. He spent his childhood amidst the family of a wealthy thakur (landowner) and was treated like a son. But when the thakur died his jealous son relegated Kishore to the status of a servant. Kishore's romance with Asha, the young thakur's sister, earns him a beating. Rather than besmirch the family's honour by eloping, he agrees to leave on condition that he may return when he has become worthy of Asha's hand. He finds a job as a carnival daredevil, diving in flames from a high platform into a tank of fire. However, the carnival's lady owner wants thrills of a different kind and she isn't one to be trifled with -she killed and stuffed her cat to stop it running away..... When Kishore makes it clear that his heart lies elsewhere, Madame is not amused. She arranges for Kishore to be murdered. But the plan goes awry and Kishore ends up being wrongly convicted of her murder and thus finds himself in jail. Both the jailer and his fellow inmates sympathise with him. The jailer wants him to meet his new bride whilst his fellows work on a plan to get him released. One of these is a good idea, the other is not.
