Adama (Oromo: Adaamaa or Hadaamaa; Amharic: አዳማ, Ädama, Ādama), also known as Nazret or Nazreth (Amharic: ናዝሬት?, Nazret), is a city in central Ethiopia and the previous capital of the Oromia Region. Adama forms a Special Zone of Oromia and is surrounded by Misraq Shewa Zone. It is located at 8°32′N 39°16′E / 8.54°N 39.27°E / 8.54; 39.27 at an elevation of 1712 meters, 99 km southeast of Addis Ababa. The city sits between the base of an escarpment to the west, and the Great Rift Valley to the east.
Adama is a busy transportation center. The city is situated along the road that connects Addis Ababa with Dire Dawa. A large number of trucks use this same route to travel to and from the seaports of Djibouti and Asseb (though the latter is not currently used by Ethiopia, following the Eritrean-Ethiopian War). Additionally, the new Addis Ababa-Djibouti railroad runs through Adama.
Adama University (formerly Adama Technical Teachers College) is located in Adama. Adama Stadium is the home of Adama City FC, a member of the Ethiopian Football Federation league.

Travel video about destination Historic Route in Ethiopia. The historic route through the north of Ethiopia begins with the ancient churches and monasteries on Lake Tana. Tropical vegetation covers the volcanic cone that protrudes like an island from the largest inland lake of the Ethiopian Highlands. By boat we travel to the south of Lake Tana to the Zeghie Peninsula, a romantic natural landscape. A narrow path leads through coffee and gesho bushes to a hill within the monastery area at the centre of which is the impressive Monastery Fort. An ancient imperial city, Gondar is one of the country’s great centres of religion. Dawit The Third, a son of Emperor Iyasu, had his palace built in the north of Fasil Ghebbi, protected by a nine hundred metre long wall. Lions were kept in cages and ...

Ethiopia is a Christian island surrounded by Muslim countries and Harar is other island within that island: a difficult city for sorting, the fourth holiest city of Islam with almost a hundred mosques within its walls, and the place where the poet Arthur Rimbaud chose to refuge in his flight from Europe. Here women control on the street the sale of khat, a plant with stimulant powers that sets the pace of Harar. Consumption, ritualized in everyday life of the city, provides its inhabitants a unique identity. Adama tries hard to get the Iron Line gold chest on Mars in Destiny -I wasn't aware that my voice wouldn't be recorded originally, so think of me as the silent protagonist in an RPG. Also, it makes him look even crazier. http://facebook.com/mowseler
In my city
In my internal town
The tallest buildings are crumbling down
Down to the ground
Silent without a sound
Paving the way for better to come
Oh, I'm making way for a new vibration
Oh, another day
Oh, I'm making way for a new vibration
Oh, another day
It's time to change
My chance to rearrange
All that is new feels ever so strange
And now I am free
Now I will let me be
Now everything will happen for me
Oh, I'm making way for a new vibration
Oh, another day
Oh, I'm making way for a new vibration
Oh, another day
I plant a seed
I watch it grow
I'm nurturing
All that I sow
Into the soil
Of pure love
I'm letting go
I'm making the way (x2)
Oh, I'm making way for a new vibration
Oh, another day
Oh, I'm making way for a new vibration
Oh, another day (x2)
