A man has died after being run over in the driveway of his Toowoomba home by an Uber cab bringing his wife home from a night out.

Senior Sargent Jamie Deacon told Seven News it appeared the man, in his 40s, had fallen asleep in the driveway some time before the incident, which occurred around 12:50am Saturday.

"Tragically when they've entered the driveway they haven't been able to see him because of the slope ... and he has been run over," Sergeant Deacon said.

Paramedics were called to the Upper Flagstone Creek home but the man was pronounced dead at the scene.

His death was one of three on Queensland roads in the last 24 hours.

Two Taiwanese women were killed in a two-car crash near St George on Friday evening.

The pair, aged 25 and 27, were passengers in a car that collided with a 4WD on Friday afternoon.

They died at the scene, while the male drivers of both vehicles weren't injured.
