The program is the most popular podcast in Australia, with over a million downloaded programs every month. In another life Richard was a member of Australian comedy trio The Doug Anthony Allstars (DAAS), which played to audiences all over the world.

My husband snaffled this from our son's Christmas presents. He found he could not put it down; it was just as big a page turner as any mystery or crime novel. He hasn't been so interested in a book in ages.
Don't forget, although it is un-put-downable, it is history

Fantastic novel. It does an excellent job of weaving the narrative of the author and his son with the past. I picked up this book because I didn't have a lot of interest or knowledge about that time in history. I heard about it on ABC radio and thought "Why not". I'm glad I did. Highly recommend.
