Hundreds of survivors of the World’s worst industrial disaster on December 3, 1984 in Bhopal, India marched today in a rally from the city centre to the pesticide factory of the American multinational Union Carbide. The marchers held banners, chanted slogans and at the end of the rally, set fire to the logos of Union Carbide and its current owner Dow Chemical along with the US flag.
Leaders of five survivors’ organizations who jointly organized the rally, called upon the governments of USA, India and Madhya Pradesh state to stop sheltering and colluding with the corporations and ensure justice and a life of dignity for the half million survivors.
भोपाल में 3 दिसंबर 84 के विश्व के भीषणतम औद्योगिक हादसे के सैकड़ों पीड़ितों ने आज बीच शहर से बहुराष्ट्रीय अमरीकी कंपनी यूनियन कार्बाइड के कीटनाशक कारखाने तक रैली निकाली । प्रदर्शनकारियों ने बैनर लहराए, नारे लगाए और रैली के अंत में यूनियन कार्बाइड और उसके मालिक डाव केमिकल के लोगो के साथ साथ अमरीकी झंडे को फूँका ।
रैली को आयोजित करने वाले पीड़ितों के पांच संगठनों के नेताओ ने अमरीका, भारत और मध्य प्रदेश की सरकारों से मांग की 5 लाख पीड़ितों के लिए न्याय और इज्जत की जिंदगी सुनिश्चित करें और इन कंपनियों को पनाह देने और उनके साथ सांठगांठ करना बंद करे ।
भोपाल में यूनियन कार्बाइड गैस हादसे की 32वीं बरसी के अवसर पर साइकड़ों गैस पीड़ितों ने यूनियन कार्बाइड कारखाने के सामने गैस पीड़ित माता की मूर्ति तक मशाल रैली निकाली | रैली के अंत मे उन्होनेगैस कांड की वजह से मारे गए लोगो को श्राद्धांजली अर्पित की | कार्बाइड कारखाने के पास के मोहल्लॉ, जहां का भूजल जहरीले कचरे की वजह से प्रदूषित हो गया है, के रहवासी भी रैली मे शामिल हुए |
On the occasion of the 32nd Anniversary of the Union Carbide disaster in Bhopal, hundreds of survivors marched with flaming torches to the memorial statue of the gas affected mother opposite the Union Carbide factory. They paid homage to those killed by the disaster at the end of the rally. Residents of the communities next to the Union Carbide factory where the ground water is contaminated by hazardous chemical waste were also part of the march.
