The World Is a Beautiful Place & I Am No Longer Afraid to Die (sometimes shortened to The World Is a Beautiful Place or just TWIABP) is an emo band formed originally in Willimantic, Connecticut. The band was formed in 2009. They released their first full-length album Whenever, If Ever to positive reviews from music critics, and a collaborative EP with spoken word poet Christopher Zizzamia, entitled Between Bodies, that was released in late 2014. The band released their second full-length album Harmlessness on September 25, 2015. According to their Facebook page, their "lineup is constantly expanding and contracting. recording and live performance lineups vary."
"Wooden Heart" ("Muss i denn" lit. Must I then) is a song best known for its use in the 1960 Elvis Presley film G.I. Blues. The song was a hit single for Presley in the UK Singles Chart, making No. 1 for six weeks there in March and April 1961, but was not released on a single in the United States until November 1964, where it was the B-side to "Blue Christmas". Presley performed the song live during his Dinner Show concert at the Hilton Hotel in Las Vegas in 1975, a recording available on the Elvis Presley live album Dinner At Eight.
A cover version by Joe Dowell made it to number one in the US at the end of August 1961, knocking Bobby Lewis' "Tossin' and Turnin'" off the number-one spot of the Billboard Hot 100 after seven weeks. Dowell's version also spent three weeks at number one on the Easy Listening chart.
"Wooden Heart", created by Fred Wise, Ben Weisman, Kay Twomey and German bandleader Bert Kaempfert, was based on a German folk song by Friedrich Silcher, "Muss i denn", originating from the Rems Valley in Württemberg, southwest Germany. "Wooden Heart" features several lines from the original folk song, written in the German Swabian dialect, as spoken in Württemberg. Marlene Dietrich recorded a version of the song sometime before 1958, pre-dating Presley, in the original German language, which appears as a B-side on a 1959 version of her single "Lili Marlene", released by Philips in association with Columbia Records. The Elvis Presley version was published by Gladys Music, Elvis Presley's publishing company. Bobby Vinton recorded his version in 1975 with those lines translated into Polish.
A House were an Irish band from the 1980s to the 1990s, recognized for the clever, "often bitter or irony laden lyrics of [frontman] Dave Couse ... bolstered by the [band's] seemingly effortless musicality". The single "Endless Art" is one of their best known charting successes. A House were managed throughout their career by John Carroll.
Formed in Dublin by former of the band Last Chance, vocalist Dave Couse, guitarist Fergal Bunbury, bassist Martin Healy (who had all been schoolfriends at Templeogue College), and drummer Dermot Wylie came together as A House. Initially developing a classic, guitar based rock sound to highlight Couse's frank but often bitter-tongued lyrics the band put in all the appropriate rites of passage for an Irish group in the mid-1980s, honing their live skills in the pubs of Dublin, performing in McGonagle's club (best known internationally as the venue where U2 cut their teeth in the late seventies), at free gigs in the Phoenix Park, and turns on RTÉ's TV GaGa and Dave Fanning's radio sessions.

LYRICS And you were a house on fire and I couldn't understand why "Burn me all down to the ground," you said, the fire is on the inside Flames dancing like ghosts behind the windows Pain jumping from the walls You want to keep this private, I can see that But you can't ask that of me, we've only just met I said we need hope now more than ever before, do you believe it? The answer was silence, I'll take it as a no We all want to be normal anyways We all want to be somewhere else than where we live But that's not reality, it's just point of view Let's not talk about the weather And whether or not there's really rain in the clouds Unless you just want to know if I feel the same as you It's more measuring up than just wasting time But time is not on...

He's been out of work for months, but still dresses for
the office and kisses his wife goodbye, and heads for
his park bench.
Every morning briefcase in hand, just can't seem to
tell her, inside he's no longer a man.
He looks through the paper convinced that nobody wants
him hands to his side in surrender, chest caved in.
His eyes half open, not tired, but not awake, and he
spends his days hoping for an end to the headache.
and he writes it all down, about everything and nothing
talks about his kids, and how he wants to leave 'em
something.
He's got a thing for pain, and blocks it all with his
heart, and to keep from going insane, he puts it all in
his art.
and that eases his mind, but it never lasts long he
keeps repeating to himself: you gotta be strong, you
gotta be strong.
But he just can't seem to put it all together tries to
think of the ways that it could all be better.
His family and his life no longer compel him he talks
to himself, and says: you gotta swim.
He's tired of the sickness and begs for the insulin.
Tries to keep above water, prays for the will to win.
He wants to be a good father, but he knows that he's
not one, and dreams of eating a barrel full of death by
shotgun.
