The UEFA Club Football Awards were awards given by UEFA to the most outstanding performers of the European club football season. The awards were presented in August each year at a special gala in Monaco ahead of the UEFA Super Cup. Since 2005, the awards were presented at the UEFA Champions League draw. Inter Milan is the only team whose players won all of the available awards in the same season (2009–10 season). UEFA stopped giving out the awards after the 2009/10 season. For the 2010–11 season, it was replaced by the newly formed UEFA Best Player in Europe Award.

He is a forward and serves as captain for Portugal. By the age of 22, Ronaldo had received Ballon d'Or and FIFA World Player of the Year nominations. In September 2015, Ronaldo scored his 500th senior career goal for club and country.
Often ranked as the best player in the world and rated by some in the sport as the greatest of all time, in 2015 Ronaldo was named the best Portuguese player of all time by the Portuguese Football Federation, during its 100th anniversary celebrations. He is the first player to win four European Golden Shoe awards. With Manchester United and Real Madrid, Ronaldo has won three Premier Leagues, one La Liga, one FA Cup, two Football League Cups, two Copas del Rey, two UEFA Champions Leagues, one UEFA Super Cup and two FIFA Club World Cups.
The Union of European Football Associations (UEFA, /juːˈeɪfə/; French: Union des Associations Européennes de Football;German: Vereinigung Europäischer Fußballverbände) is the administrative body for association football in Europe, although several member states are primarily or entirely located in Asia. It is one of six continental confederations of world football's governing body FIFA. UEFA consists of 54 national association members.
UEFA represents the national football associations of Europe, runs nation and club competitions including the UEFA European Championship, UEFA Champions League, UEFA Europa League, and UEFA Super Cup, and controls the prize money, regulations, and media rights to those competitions.
Until 1959 the main headquarters were located in Paris, and later in Bern. In 1995, UEFA headquarters transferred to Nyon, Switzerland. Henri Delaunay was the first general secretary and Ebbe Schwartz the first president. The last elected president was former French footballer Michel Platini, however he is currently suspended, due to the fact that he has been banned from football for 8 years. Angel Villar Llona is the current Acting President.
Football is a family of team sports that involve, to varying degrees, kicking a ball to score a goal. Unqualified, the word football is understood to refer to whichever form of football is the most popular in the regional context in which the word appears. Sports commonly called 'football' in certain places include: association football (known as soccer in some countries); gridiron football (specifically American football or Canadian football); Australian rules football; rugby football (either rugby league or rugby union); and Gaelic football. These different variations of football are known as football codes.
Various forms of football can be identified in history, often as popular peasant games. Contemporary codes of football can be traced back to the codification of these games at English public schools during the nineteenth century. The expanse of the British Empire allowed these rules of football to spread to areas of British influence outside of the directly controlled Empire, though by the end of the nineteenth century, distinct regional codes were already developing: Gaelic football, for example, deliberately incorporated the rules of local traditional football games in order to maintain their heritage. In 1888, The Football League was founded in England, becoming the first of many professional football competitions. During the twentieth century, several of the various kinds of football grew to become some of the most popular team sports in the world.

Cristiano Ronaldo will remember 2016 for reaching the pinnacle on three fronts: for club, for country and individually. He was crowned a European champion for both Real Madrid and Portugal - with victory in the UEFA Champions League and UEFA EURO 2016 - and the legendary No7 further rubberstamped his place in the annals of footballing history by being named the world’s best player for the fourth time. Cristiano clinched the Champions League crown by scoring the final penalty in the finale’s shootout against city rivals Atletico before lifting his country’s first major trophy in France as Portugal’s captain. With his irrepressible thirst for goals, power and speed, Ronaldo continues to amass silverware and records in abundance – and is the inaugural The Best FIFA Men’s Player.
Cristiano Ronaldo won the Best FIFA Men's Player award at the Best FIFA Football Awards in Zurich, Switzerland on Monday (9th January). Talking to the media about his win, Ronaldo said, "It was probably my best year so far. I have to include the trophy for the national team, Portugal national team. It was amazing. First time in the history of the Portugal national team and so I was so, so happy and so glad and of course I can't forget the title that we received for Real Madrid, the Champions League. The Club World Cup, which we ended the year in the best way, so, so glad. I won a lot of trophies, collective, individual, so proud."
