An all time classic!!

I haven't played this for ages and heard it again recently and it brought all the memories flooding back.
One of the greatest remixes of all time, it still sounds amazing.
This was truly ground breaking and further cemented the legend of Oakey.
Those were exciting times.
I particularly remember it being dropped at Back to Basics in Leeds back in '92 and the roof nearly came off
Take me higher indeed!!

The art of using a great sample....

The large majority of dance music tracks pinch their inspiration and sample other great classic tracks, which is often the critical ingredient to their success.
This is a classic example, nobody can mistake the riff taken from U2's "New Year's Day", which was a fantastic piece of music in it's own right.
The riff is used to very good effect in this Hyperlogic track as soon as it kicks in.
The track originally came out in 1995, but was then remixed further in 1998.
Tin Tin Out were masters at producing remixes that were both good on the dancefloor, but also had a just of a commercial appeal to them.
The track takes a while to build again, but when that riff kicks in again at 5 mins 10 secs, it a huge "hands in the air" moment!!!
All in all this is just a great track (mainly thanks to that fantastic U2 riff).
Probably a bit too cheesy for the purists out there, but hey ho, some cheese is vital for a balanced musical diet!! LOL!!

Back in 1992 - this was one of the great tracks of the year.

Take one of the greatest rock bands in history combine them with one of the greatest remix teams ever and what do you get - a true club anthem of epic proportions.

This was pretty unique at the time, as there were not that many tracks out which took a song from a completely different music sector and then through a fantastic remix transformed it into a club monster.

It brings back some great memories of clubland, I particarly remember a great night at Back to Basics in Leeds, when this was dropped and the whole place erupted.

Of course it was hammered by Oakie, whenever he played as well.

Lemon - Orange - Oakie does this biz!!

U2 brought out a pretty dodgy track out called Lemon. Oakie got his hands on it and mixed it into a truly great version.
Later came Orange another Oakie classic.
Did you ever hear his Goa mix? That was legendary.
I'll post it if anyone is interested.

Those guys do it again.
Brothers in Rhythm provide a belting remix to a great U2 song.
It's a bit harder than their usual stuff, but what a choon.
Another one that just builds and builds into that fantastic hands in the air moment.
