Everything Is Right

On my thirteenth birthday I received cassette album entitled 'Everything Is Wrong' by Moby. Upon receipt of this gift it was played unendingly, until the inevitable occurred and the tape ended up getting chewed up and had to be discarded. That incident doesn't detract from Moby's opus being utterly spectacular in every respect. Although some of the tracks on it were a bit questionable, the presence of euphoric classics such as 'Feeling So Real' and 'Everytime You Touch Me' more than atones. 'Into the Blue' proved another highlight; an atmospheric ambient number in its original form featuring the plaintive warblings of Mimi Goese. The Beatmasters were commissioned to provide the single version, which they do with some aplomb, enhancing the chilled out nature of the original. Moby's own 'Simple' mix, also featured here, pares down the vocal and transforms the track into a piano monster of the highest calibre. Great album, great artist, great vocals, great remixes, great track.

A Sow's Ear & A Silk Purse

As much as I like Moby, I could never abide his far-too-frequent forays into thrash metal. The awful 'Animal Rights' album is the foremost example of this ill-advised genre-bending, and it was that opus from which 'That's When I Reach For My Revolver' was culled. Barely listenable in its original form - unless you are a fan of Slipknott - the track has been completely deconstructed and remade by those stalwarts of the dance music scene, Rollo & Sister Bliss. A building, hypnotic epic wrought in their own singular style, Rollo & Bliss' production values perfectly complement Moby's introspective vocal. If ever there was an instance of a turd being successfully polished, then this remix is proof of that concept.

Help me to believe - yes indeed!!!

Now this was a big track back in the day, going all the way back to 1990.
It was an absolute stormer and I'm sure will be one of those tracks, which you may not know by the title, but as soon as you hear you will go  "oh my good what a tune, used to love this one".
It's a really simple track, but oh so effective.
It's always been a big fave of mine.
You may also not be aware that Moby made this track, under one of his alias'. He certainly had a brainstorm when he made this. Lol.
A PCC for sure.
Enjoy!!!

Next was indeed the E!!!

Now I appreciate that Moby is a very talented guy, but I never really liked his stuff much.
"Go" was an all time classic, but not much else IMHO.
I did however, absolutely love this track, but strangely enough it was never a track I head out in clubs that much.
I loved the piano in this and the MK Kinky-type rapping, all in all a tip top track.
Next was indeed the E!!!
