Lima /ˈliːmə/ is the capital and the largest city of Peru. It is located in the valleys of the Chillón, Rímac and Lurín rivers, in the central coastal part of the country, overlooking the Pacific Ocean. Together with the seaport of Callao, it forms a contiguous urban area known as the Lima Metropolitan Area. With a population of almost 10 million, Lima is the most populous metropolitan area of Peru, and the third largest city in the Americas (as defined by "city proper"), just behind São Paulo and Mexico City.
Lima was founded by Spanish conquistador Francisco Pizarro on January 18, 1535, as Ciudad de los Reyes. It became the capital and most important city in the Spanish Viceroyalty of Peru. Following the Peruvian War of Independence, it became the capital of the Republic of Peru. Today, around one-third of the Peruvian population lives in the metropolitan area.
Lima is home to one of the oldest higher learning institutions in the New World. The National University of San Marcos, founded on May 12 of 1551, during Spanish colonial regime, is the oldest continuously functioning university in the Americas.
Brian Lima (born 25 January 1972 in Apia, Samoa) is a former Samoan rugby union footballer who was inducted into the IRB Hall of Fame in 2011.
He earned the memorable nickname of "The Chiropractor" for his shuddering hits both on and off the pitch that supposedly rearranged the bones of the victim.
Lima made his debut for Manu Samoa back in 1990 and featured in the famous World Cup win over Wales in 1991. He was the youngest player at the 1991 Rugby World Cup.
One of Brian Lima's most illuminating moments came in Samoa's match against South Africa in a group match at the 2003 Rugby World Cup. As Springbok fly-half Derick Hougaard leapt up in the air to catch a hospital pass, Lima "dive-tackled" him, sending Hougaard crashing to the ground..
He signed for Munster after an extremely impressive game for the southern hemisphere vs the northern hemisphere in a fundraising game for the 2004 tsunami. However Lima was injured shortly after landing in Ireland and never got to pull on the Munster jersey. He has also played for the Blues, Auckland, the Highlanders, and Secom in Japan. He signed a two-year deal with Bristol starting in the 2005–6 season.
Douglas Lima (born January 5, 1988) is a Brazilian mixed martial artist who competes in the Welterweight division. He currently fights for Bellator Fighting Championships where he is a former Bellator Welterweight Champion, and is the former MFC Welterweight Champion. Douglas Lima is currently ranked as the #6 Welterweight in the world by Fight!Magazine.
Lima was born in Brazil and moved to the state of Georgia in the United States later in life, where he began training with American Top Team Atlanta. Son to Fausto and Cologera Lima. He trains with Roan Carneiro. Lima began his professional mixed martial arts career with decent success, soon compiling a record of 5–0.
In February 2007, Lima faced the future Ultimate Fighter competitor Matt Brown. Brown dealt Lima his first professional loss by defeating him via TKO due to punches in the second round.
In May 2008, Lima had his first defense of the title against Brent Weedman. Weedman was reportedly brought in to the fight to showcase Lima's skills, as Weedman was expected to be an easy fight. Weedman threatened early on with a triangle choke which was unsuccessful. Late in the second round, Weedman again caught Lima in a triangle choke, but transitioned to an armbar, which forced Lima to submit, giving Weedman the title. Weedman would later go on to say "They brought me in because Douglas Lima would make a great champ for them. Now, it's my turn to step up. I feel good about the fact that I did a one-fight deal with them. We're going to talk a multi-fight contract now." Following the loss, Lima never appeared for the AFL promotion again.
Paul Anthony Daley (born 21 February 1983) is an English professional mixed martial artist and kickboxer currently competing in Bellator's Welterweight division. A professional competitor since 2003, Daley has formerly competed for the UFC, Cage Rage, Final Fight Championship, Strikeforce, EliteXC, ShoXC, BAMMA, Cage Warriors, Cage Contender, Shark Fights, Pancrase, and Impact FC. Daley is the former Cage Rage World Welterweight Champion and the former Cage Rage British Welterweight Champion.
Born and raised in England to parents from the Caribbean, Daley began training in karate at the age of eight before later transitioning into Muay Thai. Also a former member of the military in, Daley was a reconnaissance driver for the British army household cavalry. At the age of 18, Daley began training in mixed martial arts.
Daley made his professional debut in 2003 and compiled a record of 2-2 before signing with upstart promotion Cage Rage.

2003 Rugby World Cup - South Africa vs Samoa Brian Lima knocked out Derrick Hougaard with a huge tackle. He was inducted into the IRB hall of fame in 2011 being the only player to appear in 5 world cups. MUCH RESPECT!
The legendary Samoan Brian Lima, nicknamed "The Chiropractor" for his bone rattling tackling, is playing in his fifth and last ever World Cup in a pool match against England in Nantes. Lima smashes the England talisman fly half Jonny Wilkinson in a huge hit, but it is judged too high and he concedes a penalty. The match turned out to be Lima's last ever match, and his last ever big hit, as he was banned for the tackle later in the week, ruling him out for Samoa's last match of the tournament against the USA.
In a game filled with hard hits, Ty Carpenter had one of the biggest. Ty comes up from the secondary to level a Southern Ohio Patriot running back.

https://www.expedia.com/Lima.d178277.Destination-Travel-Guides Lima gives access to the mystical city of Machu Picchu in the Andes, Lake Titicaca in the highlands, the lush Amazon jungle and Peru’s coastal desert. But, before you go to see all of this, it’s worth exploring the capital first. Just like Peru’s landscapes, Lima is a city of contrasts: rich and poor, ancient and modern, practical and elegant, fascinating and entertaining. In Lima’s Historic Center is the Plaza de Armas, also known as the Plaza Mayor. This is where the Spanish explorer founded Lima and the Lima Cathedral, contains the tomb of Francisco Pizarro. Next door, the Government Palace is still the official seat of government today. Outside of the city center are many more visitor attractions. The Bajada de los Baños...
