Heathrow Airport is a major international airport in west London, England. Heathrow is the busiest airport in the United Kingdom, busiest airport in Europe by passenger traffic, and third busiest airport in the world by total passenger traffic. In 2014, it handled a record 73.4 million passengers, a 1.4 percent increase from 2013.
Heathrow lies 12 nautical miles (22 km; 14 mi) west of Central London, and has two parallel east–west runways along with four operational terminals on a site that covers 12.14 square kilometres (4.69 sq mi). The airport is owned and operated by Heathrow Airport Holdings, which itself is owned by FGP TopCo Limited, an international consortium led by the Spanish Ferrovial Group that includes Caisse de dépôt et placement du Québec and Government of Singapore Investment Corporation. Heathrow is the primary hub for British Airways and the primary operating base for Virgin Atlantic.
In September 2012, the UK government established the Airports Commission, an independent commission chaired by Sir Howard Davies to examine various options for increasing capacity at UK airports. The commission shortlisted two options for expanding Heathrow in its interim report in 2013, along with a third option for expanding Gatwick Airport. The final report, published on 1 July 2015, backed a third runway at Heathrow.

Not my best trip to Heathrow, and probably not my best video, but hey ho, it was worth uploading I guess. Rooting to the problem, I had planned to visit to do a good 5 hours of 09L landings from the Thistle Hotel, well that plan didn't go to plan, as a slight change in wind direction (Which I didn't see coming) prompted ATC to switch runways back to 'Westerlies' on the 27 Approach. I had got here at 13:40, and spent about 10 minutes filming 09L landings before the switch, then only had an hour of filming take offs on 27R before the daily switch at 3pm, afterword arrivals were on 27R, and take offs on 27L, that said, that only lasted an extra hour, and at around 16:00, they reverted back to 09L which meant I could resume the original plan, without half the movements I wanted to catch, such as All Nippon, Avianca, PIA's New A330 service and so much more!
Anyhow, on top of that I do apologise for the backlight conditions, this was filmed on the hottest September day since 1973, of which was the first in a 3 day heatwave, which hasn't occurred in September since 1929 here. That made filming conditions quite difficult, as I had to also battle the humid heat on an open viewing terrace - So Apologies for that, and apologies for the trees, lamp posts, Transporter trucks and so on, this is really the best location for touchdown shots, or near enough at LHR, unless you have a room reserved at the Renaissance.
Anyway, Video includes: BA A230's, 787's, A380's, 777's, 767's, Virgin 787's, A340's and an A330, A range of A380's, Incl. Korean Air, Malaysia Airlines and Emirates, Ethiopian's A350, Air China Chine-France livery, China Eastern Skyteam, and Aeroflot Skyteam A330's, Asiana 777, Garuda 777, Singapore 777 and more 777's! And so much more!!!

Well its fair to say this trip to Heathrow didn't go quite to plan. On our way to Hatton Cross the Piccadilly tube line was suspended due to trespassers on the line in the Hatton Cross area! So we were forced to take the bus which didn't get us there until 2pm so we only had an hour or so before the runways swap. So this is what we caught in that short hour of Heathrow departures between 2 - 3pm.
INCLUDES: British Airways 747's & 777's, Emirates A380, Virgin 747, American Airlines 777's, United 777, Aeroflot A330, Delta 767-400, Air Canada 777 and a Vietnam 787-9 seen departing the opposite runway after the 3pm runway swap.
Some incredible sounds particularly the 747's & 777's!

Plane Spotting at London Heathrow Airport - 09L Landings & 27R Take offs
Not my best trip to Heathrow, and probably not my best video, but hey ho, it was worth uploading I guess. Rooting to the problem, I had planned to visit to do a good 5 hours of 09L landings from the Thistle Hotel, well that plan didn't go to plan, as a slight change in wind direction (Which I didn't see coming) prompted ATC to switch runways back to 'Westerlies' on the 27 Approach. I had got here at 13:40, and spent about 10 minutes filming 09L landings before the switch, then only had an hour of filming take offs on 27R before the daily switch at 3pm, afterword arrivals were on 27R, and take offs on 27L, that said, that only lasted an extra hour, and at around 16:00, they reverted back to 09L which meant I could resume the original plan, without half the movements I wanted to catch, such ...

This video is property of Train_PlaneHub, "RachaelMatt" 1080p HD! Well its fair to say this trip to Heathrow didn't go quite to plan. On our way to Hatton Cross the Piccadilly tube line was suspended due to trespassers on the line in the Hatton Cross area! So we were forced to take the bus which didn't get us there until 2pm so we only had an hour or so before the runways swap. So this is what we caught in that short hour of Heathrow departures between 2 - 3pm. INCLUDES: British Airways 747's & 777's, Emirates A380, Virgin 747, American Airlines 777's, United 777, Aeroflot A330, Delta 767-400, Air Canada 777 and a Vietnam 787-9 seen departing the opposite runway after the 3pm runway swap. Heathrow Airport is a major international airport in west London, England. Heathrow is the busiest airport in the United Kingdom, busiest airport in Europe by passenger traffic, and third busiest airport in the world by total passenger traffic. In 2014, it handled a record 73.4 million passengers, a 1.4 percent increase from 2013.
Heathrow lies 12 nautical miles (22 km; 14 mi) west of Central London, and has two parallel east–west runways along with four operational terminals on a site that covers 12.14 square kilometres (4.69 sq mi). The airport is owned and operated by Heathrow Airport Holdings, which itself is owned by FGP TopCo Limited, an international consortium led by the Spanish Ferrovial Group that includes Caisse de dépôt et placement du Québec and Government of Singapore Investment Corporation. Heathrow is the primary hub for British Airways and the primary operating base for Virgin Atlantic.

Not my best trip to Heathrow, and probably not my best video, but hey ho, it was worth uploading I guess. Rooting to the problem, I had planned to visit to do a good 5 hours of 09L landings from the Thistle Hotel, well that plan didn't go to plan, as a slight change in wind direction (Which I didn't see coming) prompted ATC to switch runways back to 'Westerlies' on the 27 Approach. I had got here at 13:40, and spent about 10 minutes filming 09L landings before the switch, then only had an hour of filming take offs on 27R before the daily switch at 3pm, afterword arrivals were on 27R, and take offs on 27L, that said, that only lasted an extra hour, and at around 16:00, they reverted back to 09L which meant I could resume the original plan, without half the movements I wanted to catch, such as All Nippon, Avianca, PIA's New A330 service and so much more!
Anyhow, on top of that I do apologise for the backlight conditions, this was filmed on the hottest September day since 1973, of which was the first in a 3 day heatwave, which hasn't occurred in September since 1929 here. That made filming conditions quite difficult, as I had to also battle the humid heat on an open viewing terrace - So Apologies for that, and apologies for the trees, lamp posts, Transporter trucks and so on, this is really the best location for touchdown shots, or near enough at LHR, unless you have a room reserved at the Renaissance.
Anyway, Video includes: BA A230's, 787's, A380's, 777's, 767's, Virgin 787's, A340's and an A330, A range of A380's, Incl. Korean Air, Malaysia Airlines and Emirates, Ethiopian's A350, Air China Chine-France livery, China Eastern Skyteam, and Aeroflot Skyteam A330's, Asiana 777, Garuda 777, Singapore 777 and more 777's! And so much more!!!

Well its fair to say this trip to Heathrow didn't go quite to plan. On our way to Hatton Cross the Piccadilly tube line was suspended due to trespassers on the line in the Hatton Cross area! So we were forced to take the bus which didn't get us there until 2pm so we only had an hour or so before the runways swap. So this is what we caught in that short hour of Heathrow departures between 2 - 3pm.
INCLUDES: British Airways 747's & 777's, Emirates A380, Virgin 747, American Airlines 777's, United 777, Aeroflot A330, Delta 767-400, Air Canada 777 and a Vietnam 787-9 seen departing the opposite runway after the 3pm runway swap.
Some incredible sounds particularly the 747's & 777's!

Easterly operations meaning RWY09L being used for arrivals and a cold wind bringing the Scandinavian chill across to the UK! Now, I know exactly what you're all gonna say, or think, the video is too long! Well, for your info I have left the time stamps of everything interesting below, that includes the 787's, A350's, A380's and more! If you can't watch the whole video, no one is forcing you either! So please take your time and try to enjoy it. Also yes I know there are tonnes of trees, lamp posts, lorries etc in the way, but there is nothing I can do, this is quite a decent spot for 09 Arrivals, in which you can see some of the touchdowns, more so than you can at Myrtle Avenue, please enjoy seeing the planes and ignore the obstructions as they are really minor!
Anyhow, this was a slight change of plan to what I originally intended, I had planned that week to do a video of departures, but the forecast suggested easterly winds, which meant RW09L and 09R would be active, so I decided to get there just a tad bit earlier to catch the morning arrivals and the sunrise of course, that also meant the first time I had filmed in near enough proper darkness as it took an hour or so from filming to get light. So some nice night footage here as well, followed by the beauty of a sunrise.
Some very interesting movements in this one two, Air Malta A320 go-around and a temporary suspension of departures on 09R due to an apparent intruder who got onto the runway. Couldn't see the action sadly but did get the queue of traffic and the Go around on 09R, in addition this was also the first time I have ever seen two A350's land within 2 hours of eachover, quite rare at LHR currently. American Airlines also sent their first 787-9 in, a one off trip for this beauty, fortunately it landed in post daylight hours, light enough for you to see it
