F.A.Q
What camera do you use?
Panasonic GH4, although if you like the footage I'm filming I owe it more to the lenses I use, invest in good lenses, not an expensive camera.
I recently bought a used Panasonic LX100 point and shoot so I can film on the go easier and film more candid moments.
Please don't think that my videos are great because of my camera. The camera you use is only a tool. I could use other cameras and still tell a good story, different cameras enable different possibilities, not a better video or story.
The footage does not look like it does in the finished movie straight out of the camera. I go through a process called Color Grading.
What lenses do you use?
I only use two lenses on my GH4 a Voigtlander 25mm F/0.95, and a SLR Magic 12mm F/1.6 (My camera has a crop factor of 2X so 25mm=50mm etc..) These are all manual focus on my camera, auto focus is never used when making movies you see in the cinema. Also, I don't really like zoom lenses, I like primes that have a look to them.
How do you stabilize your footage?
I rarely use a tripod. 90% of my shots I stabilize with a Joby Gorillapod SLR Focus, and I love to use my Glidecam
How did you get all this equipment?
I get paid to make videos for people, I've purchased most of my equipment with my money. I started with just a camera my parents bought me , focused on getting good enough that people wanted to pay me for my work and then purchased better gear. Become good enough at what you want to do that people will want to pay you to do it. (Especially filmmaking, no one pays you for your college film degree, they pay you for your level of work)
What do you edit and color grade with?
I edit with Adobe Premiere (30% of the time) and Final Cut Pro X (70% of the time). I like both of them but don't want commit ya feel? I use Color Finale within FCP to color grade along with Impulz and Osiris LUTS. I could edit what I edit in iMovie or Premiere or Vegas, it's not the Editing Software, it's the Editor.
How long does it take you to edit?
Not very long, well most videos I can edit within 4-6 hours, anything more than that and it's mostly minor details and polishing that I just take my time with. Depending on the project it can take days or weeks though. (Editing is my jam)
How do you come up with your ideas?
Well I have a bunch of ideas written in my Notes app on my phone that just come to me, sometimes I'll just get an idea and I'll be like "yes!" and I'll just execute that idea as soon as I have it, I don't like dwelling on ideas that I can execute with what I have at that moment.
How old are you?
19 (Birthday is on July 16, 1997 if I forget to update this)
Where did you learn filmmaking?
Nowhere, taught it to myself from the internet and practice, lots and lots of practice. No one at all has ever taught me filmmaking. I started filmmaking in April or May of 2015 (can't remember well) if that's any help showing how much practice can help you improve!
Do you go to film school?
No. I'm going to film school in London in October! Film school can teach you the process of making films, but it can't teach you how to tell a good story or be creative. You have to do that yourself and I like to think that you can see that in action on my channel. I don't need someone to give me something to make as homework in order to make a film, I just go out and create, and get better and better because I practice constantly. You won't become a great filmmaker because of film school, you'll become a great filmmaker because you dreamed of, worked for and went out and made great films. (I don't know if you can tell but I really believe film school is not necessary, beneficial yes. But it's how much you put into it.)
Where do you live?
Houston, Texas. Moving to London in September.

California State Route 2
State Route 2 (SR 2) is a state highway in the U.S. state of California. Officially, it begins at the intersection of Centinela Avenue in the City of Los Angeles limits adjacent to the city of Santa Monica and extends all the way to SR 138 east of Wrightwood. The highway currently is divided into three segments, running briefly concurrent with U.S. Route 101 (US 101) and Interstate 210 (I-210) to connect the segments. The western section of the highway is an old routing of U.S. Route 66; the eastern portion is known as the Angeles Crest Highway.
Route description
SR 2 is known as the Angeles Crest Scenic Byway from SR 2's east junction with I-210 in La Canada Flintridge to the Los Angeles-San Bernardino county line. The Big Pines Highway is routed along SR 2 from County Route N4 (the northwest continuation of the designation) in Big Pines to the Los Angeles-San Bernardino county line.
SR 2 is part of the California Freeway and Expressway System and is eligible for the State Scenic Highway System. However, only the portion of SR 2 from a point north of the I-210 interchange to the San Bernardino county line is actually designated as a scenic highway by Caltrans.

California Love
"California Love" is a hip hop song by 2Pac featuring Dr. Dre and Roger Troutman. The song was released as 2Pac's comeback single after his release from prison in 1995 and was his first single as a Death Row Records artist. This is perhaps 2Pac's best-known song and his most successful, reaching number one on the Billboard Hot 100 for two weeks (as a double-A side single with "How Do U Want It") and 5 weeks at number one in New Zealand. The song was nominated for a posthumous Grammy Award as a Best Rap Solo Performance and Best Rap Performance by a Duo or Group (with Dr. Dre and Roger Troutman) in 1997.
A popular remix version of the song appeared on his 1996 double album All Eyez on Me, the first double album in the history of Death Row Records.
Original version
The original version of the track was not available on any of Shakur's studio albums due to it being intended for Dr. Dre's shelved album The Chronic II: A New World Odor (Poppa's Got A Brand New Funk). But it can now be found on Shakur's compilation of Greatest Hits and on the United Kingdom version of All Eyez on Me. The original version also exists in extended form and is 6:29 in length. This particular version was never released to the public and is now only available on 12" promo vinyl records. Aside from the extended track being on limited quantities of vinyl promo records, very few uploads to YouTube exist of the original, 6:29-length extended song.

F.A.Q
What camera do you use?
Panasonic GH4, although if you like the footage I'm filming I owe it more to the lenses I use, invest in good lenses, not an expensive camera.
I recently bought a used Panasonic LX100 point and shoot so I can film on the go easier and film more candid moments.
Please don't think that my videos are great because of my camera. The camera you use is only a tool. I could use other cameras and still tell a good story, different cameras enable different possibilities, not a better video or story.
The footage does not look like it does in the finished movie straight out of the camera. I go through a process called Color Grading.
What lenses do you use?
I only use two lenses on my GH4 a Voigtlander 25mm F/0.95, and a SLR Magic 12mm F/1.6 (My camera has a crop factor of 2X so 25mm=50mm etc..) These are all manual focus on my camera, auto focus is never used when making movies you see in the cinema. Also, I don't really like zoom lenses, I like primes that have a look to them.
How do you stabilize your footage?
I rarely use a tripod. 90% of my shots I stabilize with a Joby Gorillapod SLR Focus, and I love to use my Glidecam
How did you get all this equipment?
I get paid to make videos for people, I've purchased most of my equipment with my money. I started with just a camera my parents bought me , focused on getting good enough that people wanted to pay me for my work and then purchased better gear. Become good enough at what you want to do that people will want to pay you to do it. (Especially filmmaking, no one pays you for your college film degree, they pay you for your level of work)
What do you edit and color grade with?
I edit with Adobe Premiere (30% of the time) and Final Cut Pro X (70% of the time). I like both of them but don't want commit ya feel? I use Color Finale within FCP to color grade along with Impulz and Osiris LUTS. I could edit what I edit in iMovie or Premiere or Vegas, it's not the Editing Software, it's the Editor.
How long does it take you to edit?
Not very long, well most videos I can edit within 4-6 hours, anything more than that and it's mostly minor details and polishing that I just take my time with. Depending on the project it can take days or weeks though. (Editing is my jam)
How do you come up with your ideas?
Well I have a bunch of ideas written in my Notes app on my phone that just come to me, sometimes I'll just get an idea and I'll be like "yes!" and I'll just execute that idea as soon as I have it, I don't like dwelling on ideas that I can execute with what I have at that moment.
How old are you?
19 (Birthday is on July 16, 1997 if I forget to update this)
Where did you learn filmmaking?
Nowhere, taught it to myself from the internet and practice, lots and lots of practice. No one at all has ever taught me filmmaking. I started filmmaking in April or May of 2015 (can't remember well) if that's any help showing how much practice can help you improve!
Do you go to film school?
No. I'm going to film school in London in October! Film school can teach you the process of making films, but it can't teach you how to tell a good story or be creative. You have to do that yourself and I like to think that you can see that in action on my channel. I don't need someone to give me something to make as homework in order to make a film, I just go out and create, and get better and better because I practice constantly. You won't become a great filmmaker because of film school, you'll become a great filmmaker because you dreamed of, worked for and went out and made great films. (I don't know if you can tell but I really believe film school is not necessary, beneficial yes. But it's how much you put into it.)

Houston, Texas. Moving to London in September.

Please don't think that my videos are great because of my camera. The camera you use is only a tool. I could use other cameras and still tell a good story, different cameras enable different possibilities, not a better video or story.
The footage does not look like it does in the finished movie straight out of the camera. I go through a process called Color Grading.
What lenses do you use?
I only use two lenses on my GH4 a Voigtlander 25mm F/0.95, and a SLR Magic 12mm F/1.6 (My camera has a crop factor of 2X so 25mm=50mm etc..) These are all manual focus on my camera, auto focus is never used when making movies you see in the cinema. Also, I don't really like zoom lenses, I like primes that have a look to them.
How do you stabilize your footage?
I rarely use a tripod. 90% of my shots I stabilize with a Joby Gorillapod SLR Focus, and I love to use my Glidecam
How did you get all this equipment?
I get paid to make videos for people, I've purchased most of my equipment with my money. I started with just a camera my parents bought me , focused on getting good enough that people wanted to pay me for my work and then purchased better gear. Become good enough at what you want to do that people will want to pay you to do it. (Especially filmmaking, no one pays you for your college film degree, they pay you for your level of work)
What do you edit and color grade with?
I edit with Adobe Premiere (30% of the time) and Final Cut Pro X (70% of the time). I like both of them but don't want commit ya feel? I use Color Finale within FCP to color grade along with Impulz and Osiris LUTS. I could edit what I edit in iMovie or Premiere or Vegas, it's not the Editing Software, it's the Editor.
How long does it take you to edit?
Not very long, well most videos I can edit within 4-6 hours, anything more than that and it's mostly minor details and polishing that I just take my time with. Depending on the project it can take days or weeks though. (Editing is my jam)
How do you come up with your ideas?
Well I have a bunch of ideas written in my Notes app on my phone that just come to me, sometimes I'll just get an idea and I'll be like "yes!" and I'll just execute that idea as soon as I have it, I don't like dwelling on ideas that I can execute with what I have at that moment.
How old are you?
19 (Birthday is on July 16, 1997 if I forget to update this)
Where did you learn filmmaking?
Nowhere, taught it to myself from the internet and practice, lots and lots of practice. No one at all has ever taught me filmmaking. I started filmmaking in April or May of 2015 (can't remember well) if that's any help showing how much practice can help you improve!
Do you go to film school?
No. I'm going to film school in London in October! Film school can teach you the process of making films, but it can't teach you how to tell a good story or be creative. You have to do that yourself and I like to think that you can see that in action on my channel. I don't need someone to give me something to make as homework in order to make a film, I just go out and create, and get better and better because I practice constantly. You won't become a great filmmaker because of film school, you'll become a great filmmaker because you dreamed of, worked for and went out and made great films. (I don't know if you can tell but I really believe film school is not necessary, beneficial yes. But it's how much you put into it.)

Vic´s Cali 2010 Tour Day 12 So I now left Point Lobos and went further South on Highway 1 to Big Sur. In the travel guide I read that this part of Highway 1 is the most beautiful part so I was very excited to see what was waiting for me now. And I can assure you that it was very breathtaking. The entire drive along the coast was just fucking awesome (sorry I have no other word) and I had incredible fun and purely enjoyed everything. Avenue of the Giants is one of the best places in the state to view these magnificent towering trees, and its easy to feel dwarfed as you travel down the shaded 2-lane highway.
When you enter the park, pick up a map that highlights the route and its attractions. If you want to make a weekend of it, you can camp at Burlington or Hidden Springs Campgrounds, or enjoy more modern comforts at the Myers Inn B&B;.
Our first stop is at the Immortal Tree, which is 250 tall and more than 950 years old. Inside the gift shop, you can pick up a map of Bigfoot hunting locations. Apparently more than 200 encounters have been reported in these parts, especially during the summer and fall. They say Bigfoot can get as tall as 14 feet, is a good swimmer, and sounds like a mountain lion — if you believe in that sorta thing.
After checking out Founder's Grove in Weott, we head to Myers Flat to squeeze our SUV through the world-famous Shrine Drive-Thru Tree. There are three drive-through trees along the route, and each will set you back about $6.
Kids can explore the two-story tree houses, or get lost in the walk-through stump. Yes, it's touristy — but loads of fun.

Fun Fact: The Cozy Cone Motel in Cars Land at Disneyland California Adventure was inspired by the Wigwam Motel in San Bernardino / Rialto and Holbrook, Arizona and the Blue Swallow Motel in Tucumcari, New Mexico. The "cozy" name comes from the Cozy Dog Drive-In in Springfield, Illinois.

Hey guys! I'm Veronica Hill with California Travel Tips and I'm really excited to show you a tour of the Wigwam Motel in San Bernardino/Rialto on California Route 66!
This Route 66 motel, a beloved relic in San Bernardino since 1949, is the last of three remaining Wigwam motels in the country. (The other two are in Kentucky and Arizona).
Designed by Frank Redford in the Native American style, the Wigwam motels on Route 66 have long been a favorite pilgrimage for Mother Road enthusiasts and are among the best Route 66 attractions. Each concrete teepee boasts updated amenities that include new Serta beds, free WiFi, flat screen TVs and refrigerators. Coffee is available in the lobby. While you're there, be sure to say hi to Kumar Patel, the motel's owner and a passionate Route 66 expert and preservationist.
During your stay, you can take a dip in the kidney-shaped swimming pool, grill up a burger on the barbecue, or explore nearby attractions that include the site of the first McDonald's restaurant (now a Route 66 museum) or the Auto Club Speedway. If you can, time your visit for the annual Route 66 Rendezvous, held here each September.
Fun Fact: The Cozy Cone Motel in Cars Land at Disneyland California Adventure was inspired by the Wigwam Motel in San Bernardino / Rialto and Holbrook, Arizona and the Blue Swallow Motel in Tucumcari, New Mexico. The "cozy" name comes from the Cozy Dog Drive-In in Springfield, Illinois.

So I now left Point Lobos and went further South on Highway 1 to Big Sur.
In the travel guide I read that this part of Highway 1 is the most beautiful part so I was very excited to see what was waiting for me now.
And I can assure you that it was very breathtaking. The entire drive along the coast was just fucking awesome (sorry I have no other word) and I had incredible fun and purely enjoyed everything.
The fog was out at the ocean and occasionally came close to the shore to cover up everything in fog, the constant changes in terrain elevation allowed sometimes to drive under the cloud layer and sometimes above it giving one the impression of sitting in an airplane. Not to mention that it was very warm in the sun and pretty darn cold when being in the fog :D
At some parts of the drive I did not even know where to point the camera at because everything seemed beautiful and unique, this was especially true while driving so I did not dare to miss anything and pulled the car to the side of the road almost after every mile :D
