Hawaii (English pronunciation: ⁱ/həˈwaɪʲi/ hə-WY-(y)ee; locally, [həˈwɐ(ɪ)ʔi]; Hawaiian: Hawaiʻi [həˈvɐjʔi]) is the 50th and most recent state of the United States of America, receiving statehood on August 21, 1959. Hawaii is the only U.S. state located in Oceania and the only one composed entirely of islands. It is the northernmost island group in Polynesia, occupying most of an archipelago in the central Pacific Ocean. Hawaii is the only U.S. state not located in the Americas. The state does not observe daylight saving time.

The state encompasses nearly the entire volcanic Hawaiian archipelago, which comprises hundreds of islands spread over 1,500 miles (2,400 km). At the southeastern end of the archipelago, the eight main islands are—in order from northwest to southeast: Niʻihau, Kauaʻi, Oʻahu, Molokaʻi, Lānaʻi, Kahoʻolawe, Maui and the Island of Hawaiʻi. The last is the largest island in the group; it is often called the "Big Island" or "Hawaiʻi Island" to avoid confusion with the state or archipelago. The archipelago is physiographically and ethnologically part of the Polynesian subregion of Oceania.

Kavita Krishnamurthy

Kavita Krishnamurthy is an Indian film playback singer. Trained in classical music, she has sung a wide range of classical-based songs. In her career, she has worked with a variety of music composers, including R. D. Burman, Hamsalekha and A. R. Rahman. She is also the recipient of four Filmfare Best Female Playback Singer Awards, including 3 consecutive awards in the period 1994–1996, and the Padmashri which she received in 2005. In 1999, she married violinist L. Subramaniam.

Early life

Kavita was born Sharada Krishnamurthy in a Tamil Iyer family in New Delhi, India to T.S. Krishnamurthy, an employee of Education Ministry. She began her music training with her aunt, Bhattacharya, who taught her Rabindra Sangeet. She began her formal training in Hindustani classical music under Balram Puri, a classical singer.

At the young age of eight, Kavita won a gold medal at a music competition. She won many such medals participating in the Inter-Ministry Classical Competition in New Delhi in the mid 1960s.

Hawaa Hawaai

Hawaa Hawaai is a 2014 Bollywood film directed by Amole Gupte. The film features Partho Gupte and Saqib Saleem. The film is produced by Fox Star Studios. Saqib Saleem played role of a skating coach in the film. The director Amol Gupte composed and sang one song for the movie. Rest of the songs were composed by Hitesh Sonik.Amol Gole again worked with Gupte and shot this movie. The film released in theatres on 9 May 2014 with good reviews.

Plot

The plot centres around Arjun Harishchand Waghmare (Partho Gupte) and his dream to skate. The film chronicles his coach Aniket Bhargava (Saqib Saleem) and Arjun's journey towards being a champion skater. After his father's death Arjun moves to Mumbai and starts to work in a tea stall. He sees some children arrive at night for Lucky (Aniket) Sir. He sees that the children are skating and gets attracted to skating. He finds the skates too expensive so his friends make a pair of skates out of garbage and call it hawaa hawaai. Aniket gets impressed by Arjun and decides to teach him skating. Arjun comes out to be very talented and Aniket decides to send him to participate in the district level skating race. On the day of the race Arjun gets missing . Aniket finds that he is ill and immediately takes him to a hospital where he comes to know that Arjun has hepatitis. Arjun gets cured and Aniket learns about the difficulties of a poor child. He realizes that the Arjun and his friends have a big heart and they need to be educated. He tries to help them. All his other students come to meet Arjun. Aniket decides to send Arjun to the state level skating race. Arjun remembers of his father and wins the race. The film ends showing that Arjun and his friends are admitted in a school and an article is printed in the newspaper about Arjun.

Singil Station

Singil Station (pronounced sin-gill) is a station on the Seoul Subway's Lines 1 and 5.

The transfer distance between the platforms on Lines 1 and 5 are fairly long, around 260 metres. The Line 1 station is the first aboveground station in South Korea to have operating platform screen doors.

Mr. India (1987 film)

Mr. India is a 1987 Indian Hindi science fiction superhero film directed by Shekhar Kapur. It stars Anil Kapoor, Sridevi and Amrish Puri in the lead roles

The film was the highest grossing Indian film of 1987, and remains a cult classic in India. The film was known for several of its lines and songs, including Sridevi's Miss Hawa Hawaii performance, and Amrish Puri's quote "Mogambo khush hua" (Mogambo is pleased), which is one of the most famous quotes of Bollywood and has become synonymous with Puri. The Mogambo character is also considered to be one of the best villains in Bollywood history.Laxmikant-Pyarelal's music performed well too, especially the song Hawa Hawaii which is very popular till today. The film has often been featured in different lists of top Bollywood films. Indiatimes Movies ranks the movie amongst the Top 25 Must See Bollywood Films. This was the last film that the writing duo Salim-Javed wrote together. They had split up earlier in 1982, but came back for one last film.
